  Lovely friendly family hotel

  Stayed with family for visit to Harry Potter studios and london... easy trip into london from local station and arrived at hotel to be greeted by friendly staff who were more than happy to help. Didn't expect too much as was under 80 pound for 3 of us for the night with brekkie included compared to other hotels in the area that were much more expensive but was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nice the rooms were with a lovely waterfall to sit by while eating and having a drink at the bar that was a fascinating feature. The food was lovely and the evening meal was a brilliant price. Would definately stay again if I came to London.

  Lovely Stay

  Well run independent hotel greeted with a warm welcome and a free upgrade a very personal service and nothing was to much trouble. Alisha served our evening meal which again like the rest of the hotel was better that expected. Room was cosy and warm everything worked and the beds comfortable. The water mill adds to the charm of the place but like most mid range hotels its down to the staff and the Watermill excels in this regard. Well be back

  A good night's sleep!

  We spent two nights at the hotel as we were visiting family nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and welcoming. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

  On Saturday 5th September, I went to the White Horse, Bourne End, a family-friendly restaurant, for dinner. The White Horse is situated directly opposite the Watermill and my family and I noticed several people gathered just outside the hotel. This hasnt been the usual scene there in the past. Whilst dining with my family, and enjoying the usual relaxed ambience, an individual appeared at the bar, asking for a free drink. As one would expect, the lady in charge refused this and suggested that he leave. The individual made his presence felt by raising his voice and continuing to demand a free drink, interspersed with what can only be described as some form of protest in his own language, refusing to leave. Several guests attempted conversation with the individual but it became clear that he wasnt prepared to leave. He was most persistent and intimidating towards anybody who spoke to him. The Police were called and, after spitting on a member of staff, he was handcuffed and removed. From what I gleaned from conversations, the individual was staying at the Watermill, plus other problems have apparently occurred recently caused by individuals staying at the Watermill. There were families with children trying to have their dinner during this incident. It was a most unpleasant experience and the children looked terrified. I dont know why the Watermill is currently taking in such guests and I sincerely hope it stops to avoid any risk of further incidents of this nature.

  Rude Guests

  While walking past this establishment during a pleasant walk with friends, a guest came out of the Watermill Hotel and asked me for a cigarette. When I explained that I did not smoke he became hostile. The young lad then proceeded to follow me a short distance before returning to the hotel.
