Their attitude is disgraceful.....!!!!!!!I had booked the hotel through a reputable booking agent for a weekend visit, arriving Friday evening. On the Wednesday before I am due to arrive a receive a phone call from the booking agent telling me that "The hotel has cancelled your booking because there are not enough people staying the weekend to make it worthwhile opening!" Therefore, with two days to go, I have to start looking again for a suitable hotel with vacancies. What I would have expected is that on failure of Waldorf hotel to deliver their advertised service, they would have booked for me some superior accommodation in the same area at their expense, and upon my agreement made the booking for me. Hence no need for a refund, and no need for me to go through the whole booking process again. They should not be advertising with the intention of turning people away if they do not get enough bookings. When you read this, please think what would happen if you had booked for a holiday, and two days before departure your hotel simply cancelled your reservation! Would you want to stay at such a hotel...??

Horrible!!!!! Disappointed & Owner Rude - NO RESPECTHoles in walls, Floors & Celling! DAMP, Peeling wallpaper & leaksMe and my fiancé booked here for a 2 night stay, the price was over £100, When we arrived there was no parking even though it says parking on the website we booked on, we was greated by a one eyed DOG, his Food in reception and toys everywhere.. we then went looking for the receptionist whom turned out to be the owner, he was sat eating in the dining area with another dog. After checking in we went up to the room on the way it smelt damp, the stairs were dogey & Looked run down (inside & outside), wallpaper peeling, leak stains etc.. when we got to our room the key didnt work so we had to go back to where the owner was in the dining room to tell him. He came up and let us in. Once we was in the room it smelt shockingly of more DAMP, as I walked around the bedroom there was a loose floor board at the end of the bed which nearly made me loose balance and fall, there was a hole in the bathroom celling next to the extractor fan & a hole in the wall above a socket next to the tea/coffee station.. We went back down to complain, there was no other rooms to move to & the owner was very unpleasant he would not authorise booking.com to refund us.. I explained the problems and requesting if he could authorise a refund (payment wasnt even taken at the point it was a booking.com virtual card he could of been fair), he said he would look at the problems but he would not authorise a refund due to its a hotel industry and we are in it to make money I found this very Disrespectful! I am pregnant and its not healthy for me, my unborn baby and my partner to be staying in an unsafe Property and especially to be breathing In damp! I told the owner I was pregnant too and he just laughed and said he doesnt care its not his problem. As a stupid mistake I did not take photos while I was in the bedroom/property, when we went downstairs to speak to the owner he refused to give us the key back so we could take photos, he refused for us to do so as he already checked us out. We wanted him to come up to the room to view the problems but he said he didnt have time and he would look the next day. I contacted booking.com to complain once again he refused to authorise a refund & he denied all problems throughout the hotel. Do not stay here honestly its nothing like the images inside and out!

**Pros & Cons****Pros** ~ Nice staff, they let us order takeaway & eat it in the seating area, no charge for table use. Knocked £20 off our stay. ~ 2 adorable rescue dogs, Tigger & Thao (who has 1 eye is really friendly). ~ Decent location for the Pleasure Beach. ~ Seaview Room. **Cons** ~ I requested 2 single beds in our family room when booked, however we got Bunk beds, which were a suitable replacement I suppose, but I didn't chose this option as we didn't want the kids arguing over who got the top bunk. ~ Only 2 plug sockets (TV & Kettle), none at the side of the bed. **Now onto the more serious CONS**!! ~ We could hear the people in the room above at night go for a wee (literally). ~ Ceiling/walls/skirtings/windows absolutely horrible & dirty! ~ Curtains stained & definitely need replacing! ~ Bathroom absolutely disgusting! ~ Handwash out of date, hardly any left! ~ Body wash split & hardly any left! ~ Shower filthy, door faulty! ~ Toilet seat faulty, back basin didn't fit! ~ Radiator rusty & awful! During lockdown would of been the best time to upgrade & refurbish the hotel as no one would of been there. £152 for 2 nights is crazy! I really don't understand why this hotel has 4/5 on here & people are saying it's dated.....no its old & needs the whole place re-doing! We went to Weatherspoons as it was cheaper than the hotel for breakfast & absolutely gutted when I saw the Hampton at Hilton right next door...which I found my friend stayed at for 1 night £70 Inc breakfast. I wouldn't recommend this hotel! See photos (I could only upload 10 but have more)!

Big let downHotel looks new on photos but when I arrived I thought the place was shut it looked so derelict. The place is in need of a few thousand spending on it and it's so dated. Damp in room and entrance not exactly inviting, dirty, and hand rail on floor.
