  A Tea Party!

  I really hosted a formal tea party at this beautiful home in Glen Allen, VA. The furnishings were all period pieces and the wood glowed with tender care from tender hands. There were 16 ladies present for this fabulous show of a tradition from times past. We gathered in the front Parlor, which I referred to as the "Gathering Room" for Mimosas served in elegant crystal champagne glasses. The ladies toured the downstairs public rooms as well as conversing with friends. We then were seated at an elegantly dressed dining table, 8 to a side. The silver flatware, china, and crystal drink glasses were sparkling in the sun-filled room. We were individually served a plated group of tea goodies, Sweet Potato Biscuit with Sliced Ham; Chicken Salad Croissant; Berry filled Scones; Chocolate Covered Strawberries; and beverage choice of Hot Tea, Ice Tea, Water, Coffee and more Mimosas! Erin was my point person in planning this event, which was contracted on 6-30-16 and executed to perfection on Dec 8. The ladies voted to make this outing an annual event - we all live on the same street and enjoy a monthly outing for lunch ----- or TEA! BTW, This charming place is an Historic Landmark, a Bed and Breakfast, and used often for outdoor weddings, and receptions.

  Fabulous Wedding

  We attended a fabulous Halloween wedding here. The venue was excellent well laid out & clean. The staff were attentive and friendly, all in all a great day. Beautiful grounds, marquee and house. Perfect for a fabulous Halloween wedding.

  Wedding Reception for the Ages, and that is without mentioning the beautiful swans!

  We had an excellent experience with the facilities and staff at the Virginia Cliffe Inn for our daughter's wedding reception, Even with a very rainy May wedding we had an enjoyable event. The ample covered areas provided great respite from the torrential downpour of earlier in the day. Those of the wedding party that stayed at the Inn had extremely comfortable amenities and slept well. We played "Jack Box" on the big flat screen TV after all of the visitors departed. The artisan breakfasts were scrumptious. Ample parking is on site. A pair of gorgeous swans glide around the pond adjacent to the reception area, this is a very nice touch.

  VA Cliffe Inn B&B Southern Hospitality

  North of Richmond and convenient to reach, the VA Cliffe Inn was a great holiday choice for a Richmond experience. Upgraded to the king suite with a comfortable bed and linens which led to a restful and comfortable sleep. Room and house were decked out for the holidays with a a true spirit of Christmas. Incredible breakfast spread with homemade jams and choices galore. Southern charm and hospitality live here. If you are a B&B follower, this should be in the Diamond collection. Seems like a perfect place for wedding given landscaping, but perhaps such an event night be best avoided if you are not a wedding guest. Highly recommend.

  the perfect getaway!

  We stayed at the Virginia Cliffe Inn to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday and what a gift it was! Mark was the PERFECT host and great cook. We enjoyed the surroundings, the quiet, the swans - nothing was less than perfect!
