  Daughters wedding

  The wedding reception was held in the country club/restaurant area and it was beautiful and we'll organized. However the rooms at our villa were less than desired. Bathroom sink/counter had dried toothpaste on it with splaters on the mirror. Shower water was luke warm! No hot water! Carpet wore out! The outside was a mess with cobwebs, several hornet nest and other critters living on the porch. Dining room chairs on the back porch with a bucket full of cigarette butts.

  Wonderful Venue - Reasonable Price

  Springfield is not known for its great hotel options so The Villas were a lifesaver. Housed in a gated golf community next to the clubhouse, the surrounding grounds are magnificent and the rooms are wonderful. The bed, the service, and the venue were first class. We had no problem connecting with the staff and they were very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. If you need a place to stay in the Springfield area, I highly recommend the Villas.

  Great place!

  My husband surprised me with weekend getaway and it was great! Very quiet relaxing place to stay with wonderful staff. Would recommend to anyone for getaway of peace and quiet and beautiful grounds. Golf course is very pretty.

  Perfect resort for family gathering.

  Carter Plantation was a perfect resort for our family. The managers were super accommodating. Our villa had everything we needed and was very clean. We were there for a wedding in Livingston, so the location was very convenient. The guys enjoyed playing golf, while the girls enjoyed visiting at the club house. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and beverages at the restaurant. It would be a wonderful venue for a wedding and or rehearsal dinner. We would definitely stay there again!

  Great place for company retreat!

  My company used the Villas at Carter Plantation for our two day annual retreat, there were 6 of us attending and we were very pleased with our stay. I coordinated our stay through Lori, who made sure our retreat went smoothly from all meals planned to making sure our meeting was not interrupted. Our meeting room was in the pavilion and the view overlooked the driving range/part of the golf course. It was quiet, we saw maybe one golfer the entire stay which suited us fine as it was peaceful around the whole resort. I must mention Danielle and a gentleman whos name I did not catch who worked the restaurant and meeting area and made sure all our needs were seen too. The food was excellent all around, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of us stayed in Villa 1, we did not have hot water in the morning but we all braved it because thats the type of people we are. I reported it later that morning to Lori and she apologized and said she would have had it fixed which I have no doubt she would have but we had to be ready for an early breakfast before another meeting thats why we didnt report it at 6am. Otherwise the rooms were nice and clean with all the usual amenities. I had a carriage house room upstairs with a small balcony.
