Dinner with young childrenOur most recent visit to the Village Inn with 5 adults and 3 small children. They were very accommodating and the children's menu was great. Also good to see a vegan menu. The food was great and good value. We were also able to take away desserts.

Great accommodation and locationStayed here for a night whilst visiting friends who have moved to the area. Wasnt expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The chalet accommodation was perfect - clean and comfy, lots of parking and a delicious and plentiful breakfast. We will definitely be returning & will look to dine on the restaurant on the evening as the food looks lush

Fantastic value for money! What a little gem it is! Everything about our stay was just perfect. Firstly-the location. The Village Inn is an excellent base if you want to explore either the Dales or the Moors of Yorkshire, with plenty of walking routes nearby and many more (including the coast) easily reached by car in under one hour. The Inn itself is located it the heart of a cute little village, with the vast village green literally outside. The rooms are chalet-style, so away from the main restaurant/bar building, which was a plus because you hear no noise coming from there. Each room has its own separate entrance, so easy to social distance. Plenty of parking space plus outdoor seating. The room was quite basic, but spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, only one person at a time, but the amazing water pressure in the shower made up for everything! Breakfast (which was included in our room rate) always fresh and tasty, very decent portions as well. Good choice on the dinner menu and again, the food was truly excellent. Staff members exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. All the Covid-related safety measures were implemented and executed very well, and we felt safe throughout our stay, so well done on that. On a less positive note, the bedding was a bit tired and the mattress too soft for our liking, yet we still slept like logs (must be the fresh Yorkshire air and all the hiking). Dont expect great wifi in the rooms; we were right at the end and there was no signal at all. Staff tried to fix it but nothing helped. Even in the main building, it was rather hit and miss. It didnt bother us much, but might be a problem for some. Overall, given the price and the standard, I must say this is one of the best b&bs weve ever stayed in and we would be nothing but happy to go back. Fantastic value for money and highly recommended!

Fab three nightsWe spent three nights here and couldnt have been better looked after. The rooms were clean and fresh and with the outside entrances made social distancing easy. Breakfast, which is included is lovely - well cooked, plenty of choice and served quickly. We stayed for dinner on two occasions and the food was delicious. Our hosts were friendly, efficient and professional. Erin, especially lovely. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Hotel in great location for exploring local area too
