Fabulous! Cant wait to come back!Just got home after three nights at The View for our anniversary. What a beautiful place! The standard is so well done considering its so small. The rooms are lovely, massive beds, very comfortable sofa areas, gorgeous balconies and good bathrooms. We were issued room 4 which was lovely. When we stay again we will probably try and request rooms 5-8 as the view from room 4 is *slightly* obscured by the rooms in front and some trees but it is still beautiful and wasnt an issue this time around. The only other slight thing I would have preferred would have been a bath and a mirror over the dressing table but again not a major issue at all. The restaurant in the pub is gorgeous we ate here twice over the three nights and had breakfast each morning. Breakfast is included in the room rate- full cooked breakfast or colder options with a really good variety! I almost had the Pork Belly main course both evenings as it was so good first time around but the steak also did not disappoint! For the prices and portion sizes we were really impressed! Staff were all so accommodating and very friendly. Made our stay so welcoming and really helpful. Covid secure 100% ! Hand sanitiser and wipes on all entrances and exits (even the toilets), clearly marked out areas - only 2 people at a table in the bar, no standing, and well spaced out tables. The staff all wore masks/visors when serving and when paying they would wipe down the pens/card machine before handing over to the customer which I thought was a great touch. There was even sanitiser and wipes in the entrances to the room blocks as well Can not wait to come back hopefully next year

5 stars are not enoughI booked on the back of good reviews for celebration night away for my fiance and I and have to say we were not let down at all. The room was amazing. The view was beautiful. I asked if we could have a little fruit platter and choc strawbs for Mike and Mel sorted that and it was lovely. Our breakfast was gorgeous. The covid precautions were spot on. Everything was clean and sanitised. Honestly cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We will be back. Xx

Excellent Service, great hostsI stayed here at short notice due to the obvious pandemic, so was looking at places in the uk which Im not familiar with as always go long haul. Looking at options for the Peak District, the view at the white horse is an amazing option with it being 20 minutes from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and the peaks. Once I made the booking, I received a message from the owner asking if we required a table reservation at the pub as we hadnt booked so was very thoughtful as I had forgotten so was a nice touch. On arrival the lady/owner who checked us in was very welcoming and explained the perfect COVID measures they have in place and all the other things we needed to know. We were allocated room 4 which was lovely, clean and smelled lovely plus it came with a great view. The bed was comfy and it was a wonderful suite to stay in. We dined at the restaurant but Ill do another review for that. Breakfast was amazing one of the best I have had and nothing was too much trouble to have more. Will definitely be back - great owners and a lovely get away Thanks team

Second stay and no regretsThis is a very smart place that I've stayed at once before a few years ago. Rooms are all suites and hugely spacious with balconies and all the features you'd expect. We ate at the restaurant and that was superb too. Breakfast amazing. Service 10/10.

Fabulous stayWe were warmly greeted by Mel, even though we were early for check in. We had a few leisurely drinks in the bar and had a lovely chat with Mel about our love of golden retrievers. We went to our room late afternoon and what a lovely room it was too! Spotlessly clean and spacious, water and fresh milk in the fridge, and a bathroom big enough to get lost in. In the evening we ate in the restaurant and had a lovely chat with Paul before an absolutely gorgeous meal. Breakfast the next day was amazing, beautifully cooked and nothing was too much trouble for the staff members. We will definitely be back to stay in this 5 star (in our opinion), fabulous hotel.
