    Sólo nos hubiera gustado haber podido quedarnos aquí.

    Mi marido y yo trabajamos mucho, así que cuando finalmente nos dieron la oportunidad para una pequeña escapada de una noche, empecé a buscar habitaciones disponibles en Columbia. Por supuesto dado que era un sábado todo lo bueno estaba lleno.Lo que me llevó a buscar en Price Line , donde había una habitación disponible,muy bonita en El Tigre hotel, así que lo reservé. Para nuestra sorpresa y decepción el hotel no tenían constancia de nuestra reserva y estaban completamente llenos. Fuimos redireccionados entonces al asistente del Gerente General, Sr. Michael Jackson. Él hizo todo lo posible para asegurarse de que tuviéramos un lugar donde quedarnos tan bueno como la habitación que no conseguimosen su hotel. Hizo los arreglos para otro hotel cercano y no puedo expresar con palabras lo bien que nos trataron. No puedo esperar a regresar y alojarnos en el Tiger Hotel, su personal es excepcional.

    Filthy Rooms, Even Worse Management

    I stayed in a Deluxe King room July 17-19, 2020. When I came to check-in, I showed my AAA card to receive the $10/nightly discounted rate. The Director of Operations, Lowell Chuck Bankhead, walked through the front desk area and said to the front desk agent, Is this the AAA reservation? She doesnt get another discount its already been discounted. My rate has not been discounted. While I was speaking to Mr. Bankhead explaining this, he walked away and out the door instead of even acknowledging that he was mistaken. The situation was completely inappropriate and disrespectfulespecially from the Director of Operations. When I got to my room, it became very apparent that the rooms were not being cleaned thoroughly and the housekeeping staff had no standards of cleanliness to uphold. There was no attention to detail or indication of regular deep cleaning. The toilet base and behind the toilet were disgusting, with multiple pubic hairs left behind. All linenssheets, towels, and the robe were noticeably old and uncomfortable. The sheets were extremely wrinkled and so scratchy that I got out of bed as soon as I woke up because it wasnt even comfortable enough to lay in bed and watch TV. I could see the mattress cover tags through the sheets they were so thin. The towels were ragged on the edges, and shouldve been cut up and used as rags months ago. When I removed my sheets before checking out on Sunday, 7/19, I noticed that the mattress pad had multiple stains on it. I took off the mattress pad to make sure that it would be washed before the next guest, I saw the extreme amount of stains on the mattress itself. The mini bar was virtually useless with the amount of expired product. There was a soda that expired in April 2019! The Keurig didnt seem to be cleaned everI made a cup of hot water and it brewed tan with old coffee grounds in the water. I took one coffee mug out of the cellophaneit was dirty with a residue on the handle. The fire alarm probably hasnt been dusted in years. The window sills had not been dusted, one shade was stained, another had a big tear in it. The dresser drawers were not wiped out. Soft furniture surfaces like the chairs, headboard, and bed base were stained and dirty as well. Of the three phones in the room, only one was working. The TV cable only had about half of the channels that were supposedly offered and the channel guide was incorrect. The issues above can be addressed and remediedbut management does not acknowledge them as legitimate problems, instead as inconveniences. The key packet I was given with my room key stated that The Tiger Hotel was a AAA 4-Diamond hotelthe hotel lost their 4-Diamond accreditation after 2016. During my stay, The Tiger Hotel posted on Facebook an image of their 2014-2016 award plaques zoomed out so that you couldnt easily read the award years, insinuating that they are still recognized as a 4-Diamond property. Its extremely deceptive to continue this advertising. Especially because their service and standards are abysmal.

    Extremely Disappointed

    My family and I booked a one night stay at the Tiger Hotel, to see a city I lived in several years ago. I booked the hotel through a third party website. Upon arriving in town, we were confused as to where to park. We called the hotel, and were told that our reservation had been canceled, and that we should have received confirmation from the third party booking agency some time ago. Sure enough, within one hour of arriving in town, after a 6 hour drive, that company had sent an email to me, advising of the cancellation. There would have been no way to see this, as I was driving non-stop. After speaking with the third party, we were told that they were just notified of the issue. This particular hotel has a "close relationship" with the local university, and was asked to provide rooms for Covid-19 positive students. The Tiger Hotel failed to even pick up the phone and let us know of the situation. Add to that, there was a story in the local paper 2 days prior, that said the hotel had already booked "isolation floors" for Covid-19 students. The Tiger Hotel failed on many levels, and left us looking for another hotel after a 6 hour drive. We will not be staying, or even attempting to stay, at this hotel again. Disappointed.

    Stayed overnight for the game!!

    We loved this hotel!! The check in was wonderful! Elizabeth was super! She is a gem at the front desk!! She was so welcoming!! Made us feel so s welcome!! Our. Room was beautiful, beds were super and the bathroom super modern and beautiful!! We loved our stay!

    The good and not-so-good

    Overall we had a nice stay at Tiger Hotel. The good: we had a nice corner room with great views. The room was clean, spacious, and nice extras like automatically switched window blinds, Keurig coffee maker with Starbucks KCups. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic. The parking garage across the street, usually $5 a day, never charged us as we came and went. The not-so-good: If television watching and sports on TV is important to you, come prepared with an HDMI cable and laptop. The TV signal and picture is terrible! Only analog signals and NO ESPN!! Truly the worse television experience in a hotel we have ever experienced. The shower was not very good and the plumbing did not seem properly attached behind the wall (the tub spout, shower head, and shower valve all moved quite a bit). We were disappointed that the bed was not made....we called front desk and they said it was due to the Covid (for crying out loud). We did like our sort of fancy stay better than The Broadway, and will likely stay there again (but prepared for the awful television deal)
