  Great hospitality experience

  During Covid I stayed in TSH Groningen, I was really impressed by the friendliness of the staff. 110% friendly and interested. Really a great experience. Thnx for the service! Furthermore within the possibiliteis of the Covid regulations breakfast and dinner was a 9+ experience

  Beautiful rooms with great service!

  We had a great stay at the student hotel. The room was big, clean and pretty, and the view was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and overall we were able to relax and disconnect for the entirety of our stay. Will definitely come back!

  perfect place to "work from home"

  we had construction at our house, so with there being a lockdown and everything working from home was slightly compromised. Also having 2 kids that needed to do schoolwork and give presentations etcetera i decided to splurge and book a couple of hotelrooms. This was awesome, everything was nice and clean, the wifi was lightning fast, the coffee from the bar was awesome. So all n all a very successful day. For the kids it was great; a cool covid memory, after all the disappointments from before.

  Best spot in Groningen!

  This is the place you want to stay in Groningen. Great vibe, great rooms and a perfect location on the edge of the city center. Park your car in the garage Boterdiep next to the hotel for the lowest rate in town.

  Should be illegal

  Found myself here due to an aggressive estate market-ended up staying for a Few months during Corona time. By now everyone should be aware that this place is very overpriced (about 3 times pricier than an average room in a flat)- but it is also not uncommon for international students to find themselves in a situation where TSH seems like the only temporary solution. The place is nice and has beautiful communal areas, but some things about management remain grossly unexplained. Minimum stay time is 100 nights (why???), cancellation fee is atrocious (a rate for cancelling+ 70% of the month successive to your date of departure). Its Corona times, anyone should have ample opportunity to leave the residence without having to incur massive prices- this exploitation should be illegal. A big issue at hand regards overall cleaning. I have been told that my room would get cleaned once a month. The room was dusty upon arrival, which is not a big issue per se, but is also not really viable for a student residence with 4-star hotel prices and facilities. The room cleaning is basically non-existent (mine got skipped twice), and when it does happen it is very restricted. Once again, its not an issue to have to clean ones room by oneself, but the hotel should still abide by the services it says it provides. Hotel management is okay, but also a bit insufficient at times, considering that such matters as reduction/extension of stay cannot be dealt with through the hotel reception, and the central TSH office that deals with these matters telematically is very disorganised (called thrice, and got told three different things about what cancelling the stay entailed). Some other issues are not dealt with extraordinarily well, such as with rules that should be respected by students and really arent. It seems like the hotel is quite understaffed, or just that the team lacks enough authority to be able to manage the place properly. Overall, the issue with this place is that nothing about its services justifies its price, and noone really does anything about the countless complaints that the place receives. Its a nice building with good facilities-but it also comes off as a scam once its pros and cons have been weighed up.
