RWC 2019 - Great staff, Great room and the breakfast was fantastic!

Stayed in a family room - loads of space and the facilities were great. The staff were friendly and always happy to help. Breakfast was a buffet, large selection and has something for everyone. We had a room looking down on the chapel, which was amazing to look at, the only disappointment was not being able to get to it.

    Great stay

The location was great - next to a superb temple, near Yagoto station (just right for the Rugby World Cup games at City of Toyota ). The room was huge, well furnished and decorated and with a view over the wedding chapel. The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. This was one of 7 Japanese hotels we stayed in during our trip and it was by far the best

Great hotel, fabulous location and wonderful decor

We stayed at this hotel for one night as a stop over before heading north. What a fabulous looking building both outside and in the main guest areas. We booked a large twin which was 27m2 but on check in we were up graded to a Delux room which was 32m2. The room had everything you need-seperate bathroom and toilet, wardrobe, fridge, TV, Sofa and we had a great view over the wedding chapel and the Nagoya Shinkansen line. Considering how close we were to the train line we heard nothing in our room. This hotel has a free shuttle bus that runs every 15 mins to and from the station which was amazing. The hotel was close to a selection of great restaurants in a near by office complex.

Excellent staff but hotel needs to identify who it appeals to.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights . Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff pleasant .Of note were Nishigata and Tomomei who worked in the restaurant. They need to be more prominent in management as their empathic communication skills and command of language is an asset. The hotel bar and some rooms provide a pleasant aspect overlooking the wedding venue, but the bar lacks atmosphere. The unprepossessing reception is on the fourth floor. There is a smoking room overlooking the check in desk. Its frequent use by a tour group meant the door was constantly open and reception stank. We opted for a reasonablly priced upgrade. The extra space is useful and everything you need is provided. If you are at the rear you have an excellent view of the wedding church and the shinkansen. The rooms must be well soundproofed as I only heard the arguments between members of the tour group on our corridor when I was waiting for the lift screaming, shouting, doors banging etc punctuated with individuals barging past to reach the smoking room. At breakfast Asian dishes are plentiful, hot western style options limited but there is plenty of fruit, pastries etc, The second morning the tour group were in the restaurant which was challenging regarding table manners if you were another guest, but a tactful conversation discreetly moved us elsewhere. The hotel provides excellent value and service in a pleasant situation. However, if your stay coincides with certain tours you might look elsewhere.

    Just OK

We definitely learned that there is quite a difference in the interpretation of near and closeby when walking from the train station and it most certainly was the longest 10 minutes walk from the train station! When we finally found the hotel the entrance was confusing. We were directed to use an entrance which did not feel like the front of the hotel and then shown to the elevator which took you to the lobby on the 4th floor. All so very confusing and didnt make us feel welcome. If there was a decor to see we missed it. Our room was pleasant enough. We did overhear conversations in the hallway. We appreciated the wallpaper in the bathroom. Very cool! We had the buffet breakfast which was ok. The eggs Benedict was really good! All in all the hotel was just OK for us. Perhaps if we were getting married it would have been a much different experience!
