  Third and final time here!

  I checked in 12 July and checked out today, 13 July 2020. Upon room check-in on the 1st floor, I discovered that the room's air-conditioning system was faulty. The front office assured me that they will send a maintenance person to check. And so we went out for a walk around Malacca town. We came back after 8pm and the room was still warm. I proceeded to the front office again and this time I was told that the entire property's air-conditioning system was impaired and offered me the use of a fan. And the front office also told me I will be eligible for a full refund. I received a call around 10pm telling me there is a room available in 206 with properly functioning air con. Now, I thought they told me the entire property's air con system is affected? Never mind. We were also told that room 206 had no window. We had no qualms about the window.... until we moved into the room. It was a room with twin bed joined together. The walls were in a pathetic state of disrepair. Everything was like peeling off. Worse was - you could hear the sound of marbles falling on the floor from upstairs, with people moving furniture at unearthly hours. I got up early today, awakened by loud thumping noises and boy - was I happy to check out earlier than the check out time. The first and second times we stayed here was in November 2019 and everything was fine and dandy. The property really needs proper maintenance and good housekeeping. Even the curtains smelled musty. I'm certain I won't be coming back again.

  VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

  I choose this hotel is because of the beautiful pictures in their website (supposed to stay July 14th - 16th) . Unfortunately it is not from anything u see in the web! Worst is, I arrived at the hotel at 4.30pm, and when I check in to the room is still dirty nothing been clean yet! Went back to front desk and she told me to wait while the HK will clean the room within 10mins. 10mins to clean the whole room? Its ridiculous! To clean the whole room (btw, I booked executive double suite with outdoor spa bath) with the outdoor, minimum will take around 45mins! When she said 10mins, u can imagine the quality of the cleaning it going to be. I demand to see the manager but she said the hotel do not have any manager and the GM also not around because he/she work from home! I decided not to stay and asking for my full refund (God knows when I will get my refund)! Worst hotel I ever been to!

  Beautiful on the outside, horrible in the inside

  Stayed in The Sterling Boutique during my recent trip to Malacca with friends. Here is my review: Room: 1 King size bed 1 single bed Sofa Kettle, safety deposit box, fridge, hairdryer, shampoo, soap available Pros: - room is big and spacious - friendly front desk staff - 5 min walk to Jonker Street Cons: -The carpet was dirty and looked like it wasn't vacuumed in ages - staff did not clean the room properly. Please see attached picture of hairdryer in drawer with used tissue - the sofa had some bugs, got bitten while sitting on it - aircon was malfunctioning, could not adjust temperature - 2 light bulbs in the room was not working making the room dim and dingy - the bathtub was filthy, dont bother getting into the tub it is so disgusting - the corridor to the room had no lights Overall, I would really not recommend this place to stay as the cleanliness is horrendous!! PS: When I told the staff that the sofa had bugs, they offered to spray with insect spray which I declined as I did not want to breathe in poison fumes.

  I like the jacuzzi !!!!

  Book for two day one night trip,this hotel is Located at malacca town area,7-8minutes walking distance to jonker street walk . Very good environment and quiet place . Definitely will come back and visit again !

  Close to heart of Malacca town

  Pros: 1. Location - within walking distance to Stadhuys and Jonker Street 2. Tasty breakfast, although limited selection 3. Jacuzzi in the room - what a treat! Cons: 1. Because of jacuzzi, carpet in room is damp and gives a musty smell 2. Furniture is outdated and room in need of some maintenance
