  Muy pintoresco e histórico, el servicio es bueno al igual que las comidas. El hotel es muy antiguo y su estructura l mantienen muy bien. 300% recomendado. Esta cerca del lago y del las tiendas principales de Red Wing, también tiene dos buenas barras para poder relajarse con muy buenos tragos.

  We were excited to celebrate our 30 year wedding anniversary at the St James Hotel. Its not the trip we had planned but with Covid messing up many destinations, it would be a way to make our anniversary somewhat special. Unfortunately I had an accident that required surgery, left me non weight bearing on my foot and gave us covid. It doesnt matter what is happening in your life. Never forget to cancel a reservation! Because there is absolutely nothing that can be done if you dont. Really??? Really really

  Wanted to reschedule because of the Pandemic, was told I would pay more after about a month of waiting for a response

  The Following was a response to Irma, the "Director of Rooms" at the Saint James hotel. It appears I did not get this message on time, but I did speak to one of the girls at the front desk on Wednesday and I was told to call back in December, as the system was down.  I believe it was the 6th time I had called to inquire about rescheduling - I had been told every time that the scheduling system was down.  I apologize for not receiving your message sooner, I am frontline health worker and life has been a little crazy as of late.  The first couple times I called to reschedule it was pandemic related, I was made to believe that it would not be any trouble to reschedule as soon as your scheduling system was fixed.  The last several times I called to schedule it was because of the Governor's mandate to stay in our households.  At this point I am so frustrated and disappointed in the lack of sincerity, empathy and communication from your hotel staff.  I simply do not feel like giving more of my money to stay at your hotel and I would encourage others to avoid booking a reservation through your website as well. My wife and I have been staying 1-2 times a year at the St. James since before we were married 9 years ago.  Never before have we had such a lack of communication.  We were told your schedule was "broken" for 4 weeks, what is up with that?  So now I am out for over $--- for a room we did not even get to enjoy after all.  I hope you can understand my frustration, and I genuinely hope your scheduling system gets fixed soon.

  Girls Weekend

  It is a beautiful, historic hotel in downtown Red Wing. We had a girls' weekend there and got a massage and facial at the spa. Their room service breakfast was delicious. The only drawback was no fridge in the room.

  Another wonderful stay

  LOVE this hotel. Great staff that is always helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately the room service was terrible. Not sure how it is possible but the scrambled eggs had a strange aftertaste, the toast was soaked in butter, and the french toasted tasted like everything else that had touched the pan/griddle. For over $50 it was very disappointing. We will most definitely be back just won't be ordering room service.
