  Shout Out to Ishvan (sp?) the Hungarian Bartender

  My hubby and I did a lovely overnight trip when we heard about the Spa at Norwich Inn via TravelZoo. While we can't remember the nice ladies at the front desk and our waitress at the restaurant at Kensington, I do know that the waitress working Kensington's the evening of Friday, 10/30 was absolutely delightful. The front desk agent who worked the afternoon of Friday, 10/30 and again Saturday morning 10/31 was truly genuine and sweet. A special shoutout to Ishvan (unsure of spelling) the Hungarian bartender. He made wonderful small talk with my husband and we really enjoyed his special cocktails and friendly service. We booked a villa king room and were super cozy by the fireplace and outdoor balcony. Thank you to the entire team at the Spa at Norwich Inn. While we can't remember all of the names, the A+++ service sticks out to us.

  Nice respite during the pandemic

  My friend and I planned a quick overnight just to get a break from 2020. We both bought the Rejuvenation Package and LOVED our treatments (massages, facials and body wraps). I only wish there was some furniture in the waiting area of the spa - it was confusing that we couldn't sit there where doors could be open for ventilation but were encouraged to go sit in The Conservatory which I think is a slightly smaller space that has no outside access or windows. We found it odd that in some spots of the resort (the Gallery and by the business center) seating was fairly plentiful, but near the spa it was SRO. An employee said it was because it was a Personal Care area (?) and needed 6 ft of social distancing. 6 ft is 6 ft if it's for personal care, waiting in line, going to work...... Dinner, breakfast and lunch in Kensington's were delicious and the beds were comfortable. The Norwich Inn & Spa is always consistent and the staff did an excellent job within their Covid limitations. We will be back!

  Lovely, but not perfect

  There are a lot of wonderful things about the spa at Norwich, particularly the stuff, who were amazing, and the grounds, which were breathtaking. However, there were a few things that made the stay less than ideal. Primarily, the lack of vegetarian options. The chef was kind enough to go off menu for us, and made a lovely risotto, but as the website explicitly states there are vegetarian options, I was disappointed. Also, I know the staff asked ahead of time to accommodate us, which didnt happen. Secondly, the music in the spa is apparently shared with the music in the restaurant. That means occasionally, during my lovely and very relaxing spa treatments, we had raucous, up beat jazz music! It was not a particularly calming experience, which was a shame as the treatments themselves were amazing. Overall I would recommend this place, but with some caveats.

  Much Needed Pampering

  A friend and I stayed overnight and enjoyed 3 spa services. The staff from the front door to checkout were lovely and most accommodating. The Inn and Spa is very clean. We went to dinner at Mohegan Sun which is only 4 minutes away. We are looking forward to returning in the warmer months so we can access the outdoor areas.

  Lovely Inn and Spa

  We have visited several times. Definitely recommend. Peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. The spa services are great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very close to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun if looking for things to do in the area.
