It has potentialWe were forced to stay here as our vehicle broke down and was being repaired in town. As a last resort it worked but I would not stay here again. The coffee pot was filthy, the foot board was split in half(the broken piece was sitting in the door less closet) and it was noisy. It appears people may live here permanently.

Absolutely freezingWe unfortunately were stranded in Loa last year due to car troubles, and had to stay here while getting our car fixed at the local garage. We stayed in the large suite, which the owner kindly reduced for us due to our predicament, to I believe 150$ (still very expensive). The room was fine, nothing special. We discovered in the morning that the door to the shared balcony was left unlocked before we arrived, which was a little off-putting as it had been unlocked all night. But the only really significant issue was that there was no control over the temperature of the room. I cannot overstate how utterly freezing the room was - in every room there were vents blasting ice cold air, that you couldn't turn off. They were also very loud. We couldn't even sit in the living room because it was so cold, we had to lie in bed and pile as many blankets on top as we could find from both bedrooms. If we had had any other option, I would have asked for my money back immediately and driven to another hotel.

CuteThis probably the only place to stay overnight in town. Cute little place, with dated decor and amenities, but an interesting lobby, with lots of Native American and other artwork. BTW-the hotel advertises an Italian restaurant, which was closed. It's actually a pizza place. No reason given as to why it was closed (maybe out of business?). There is actually only one place in town to eat - Marianna's Country Cafe. Good home cooking.

Mixed reviewsIn reading these mixed reviews I guess I just got lucky. We arrived about 11:30 after a long and winding drive from Bryce. I think the front desk was manned till 9, or supposed to be. We did have a hard time calling Mrr. Davis for the late check in partly because of cell service and third party booking. There was a note on the door telling me my room number and I think the key was left in the door, no big deal since we hadn't checked in yet. We were able to adjust the ac and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. We had requested a ground floor and got it. Overall a good stay. We saw Mr. Davis the next morning and he was friendly enough. Agreed, no rest as urgent, just a closed (while we were there) pizza place. He suggested Marianes as a restaurant, but they were so crowded with one server, that we left after a wait. Drive to the next town, on the way to Capitol Reef, to a general store which has a deli in the back that has a breakfast menu. Good food, but then, we were famished.
