  Just spent 4 nights at The Smugglers. A Wonderful place with a really laid back relaxed feel. Incredibly well run professional B&B. The real magic to the place is with the hosts. Will takes great pride in The Smugglers and with taking great care of his guests, a real gent who is always on hand leading by example his incredibly hard working team who go to great lengths to make you feel at home. The rooms are perfect, spotlessly clean and the personal input that has gone into the decor really shines through. The location is great. A short (but steep walk) into Woolacombe with a bus stop directly outside. Mortehoe is also the start route to some incredible coastal walks and also home to a decent pub. One last word has to go to the quality and standard of the food. Wonderful freshly cooked breakfasts with ample menu choice for everyone. You really have to eat in the restaurant in evening because the standard and quality is as good as anywhere you can eat. Really nice cafe bar vibe and breathtaking food.   Fabulous four nights

  Spent 4 nights here last week. Don't normally holiday in England as can't rely on good weather. As our holidays were cancelled abroad due to Covid our friends invited us here as they were going to be staying up the road with their caravan. Looked to see where we could stay near them and spotted Smugglers Rest. Wow what a great guest house. We were greeted by Will, stacy and baby Lilly not forgetting gorgeous Kingsley. Our room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the front so it was nice and bright as sun on front most of the day. Lovely ensuite with a great shower. Breakfast was the best ever, poached eggs perfect. Had a meal here with our friends on the last night. Tip book this for your evening meals as not many places open to eat, not sure if it covid or normal for this time of year. Gin and tonic (Dutch Courage with grapefruit tonic) was fabulous. If we were to visit again would definitely stay here as we really liked it. Thank you Will, we had a great time.

  Wonderful autumn break

  We can't say enough good things about our four night break at the smugglers rest, we were greeted by the owner Will who is such a friendly and informative guy, he sorted our parking out straight away and our room was great, plenty of space and very clean with good views from the balcony, the room was warm and cosy, the breakfast was wonderful with a great selection of dishes, the full English was fantastic, although we didn't have dinner here due to being out all day the food looked great and the restaurant was very busy for the time of year, finally the covid procedures were very well organised making you feel safe yet still comfortable, well done to Will and Stace keep up the good work

  Great few nights

  Had a great time in this B&B, nice room, great breakfast, very welcoming host! Weather not fab but made use of the 3-night stay parking deal to visit some great local spots. Also an enjoyable walk into Woolacombe and across the beach to Croyde.

  Another brilliant stay

  Another brilliant stay at the Smugglers. Great food, lovely room and great hospitality. This place is perfect for those who appreciate good food, walking and surfing. Great to see you busy even through tough times! Quality always wins through!
