  What B&B was Meant to Be

  Lovely home in marvelous location. Historic without the "Do Not Touch Anything" feeling. Alan is a gracious host who made us feel as if we were visiting family. The heating system was FABULOUS! We had a bit of a cold snap during our visit and the gas heat warmed our room instantly when it kicked on. Breakfast was fresh foods with healthy selections and more than the guest could consume in a single sitting (though you hated to leave any of it behind). The city of Hartwell is charming and very walkable with some interesting shops and restaurants mixes. We wil most definitely visit again.

  our getaway

  My husband Rich and I came here for a visit from Florida, we stayed a couple of nights. What a charming place with a charming host. I highly recommend this B&B to any one looking for a quiet getaway with a place dripping in character. We will definitely be coming back!!

  Weekend in Hartwell

  We had the pleasure of being guests at The Skelton House on Saturday, April 7, 2018. The house is beautiful and so full of history. All of the rooms are unique and impeccably decorated with antiques and up to the minute amenities. I have to say that the pictures online, while very beautiful, do not do true justice to how incredible this place is. We were the only guests the night we stayed and Alan was the perfect host from the minute we drove up. He was so wonderful to talk with; he offered a wealth of history about the house and the area. After a very peaceful night of sleep (after first sitting out on the upstairs porch with a cup of coffee observing the town), we were treated to a delicious breakfast with all the trimmings! I cannot say enough about what a fantastic experience this was. We will definitely stay here again as we have friends who recently moved to Hartwell. Next time you are anywhere near this historic town, dont miss the fabulous Skelton House!

  Great little B&B

  Stayed here for a wedding and had a great experience. Everything was wonderful! If you are looking for an authentic B&B experience this is the place to go. My parents stayed here too as their first B&B experience and they won't stop talking about how wonderful it was.

  We will be back!

  Stayed here for three nights. The area is near downtown Hartwell but quiet. Allan is a charming host and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was the highlight of each day! A wonderful place to stay and we will be back when we are in the area.
