    Lentos, olvidadizos y SUCIO

    Hotel en el cual calidad precio no existe pagas 245 pounds para una habitación sucia y pequeña. La cena... Nos sirvieron cosas que no pedimos y encima la espera media por plato son 30-45 min. Los teléfonos internos no funcionan por lo que comunicarte con el room service o la recepción fue imposible. Pedimos que nos trajeran agua a la habitación y nunca llegó! LA VERDAD NO RECOMIENDO PARA NADA ESTE HOTEL.

    Un hotel perfecto. Es precioso el hotel y el entorno. Muy buena gastronomía típica inglesa y una zona de spa y piscina increíble. Recomiendo este hotel al 100% tanto para familias con él para negocios

    Disappointing stay

    Always stay here when I come to the Peaks. The last time I stayed here in September 2020 I had a brand new room which was immaculate. However this time, we got lumbered with their worst room so now my boyfriend thinks I'm a total liar since I told him what a nice modern hotel it is! The bedframe was falling apart, other furniture was falling apart, there was stains all over the carpet, the window was painted shut, it was boiling hot, the bed moved across the floor with everytime one of us rolled over. Not to mention it definitely wasn't a double bed. You know a hotel bed is bad when you sit there and think that it would've been nicer to stay at home and slept in our own king sized bed that DOESN'T move across the floor.... I understand they're in the process of renovating and probably haven't made it all the way around the rooms yet but I would've expected a discount for the awful room we were lumbered with and I paid the same rate for the new room I stayed in a few months earlier. The only reason I give three stars is because the spa is incredible. For the last hour of our spa slot, we had the entire room to ourselves. I tried to pre-book spa access which was £30pp for a few hours however it wasn't working. We managed to make a reservation easily as soon as we arrived and we didn't have to pay anything... We'd come back for the spa alone.

    Amazing visit to New spa!

    Came with my mum for day spa trip, I think it was called the "red velvet" spa trip. It was excellent, especially for the price. The spa has had quite a significant update since I last went and is much improved. The outdoor vitality pool was amazing, nice temperature, great views and the whole spa was not over crowded. There is also 2 hot tubs outside on the terrace and plenty of outdoor seating including a fire pit. Inside there is a sauna, steam room ( which obvs due to covid we couldn't use), a pool, an indoor hot tub that sadly was being cleaned and lots of loungers. I only have 2 minor criticisms: the changing rooms are hard to navigate, as in no signs of where anything is or to get out. Secondly, you are allocated loungers on arrival due to covid which obviously is a great idea. However, they allocated everyone in the same area, despite 50% of them not in use during that session. Why do this? We were less than 2 metres from the other people so it seemed silly when plenty of others were free. Included in our package was a treatment, i had a back massage and scalp instead of the foot and back offered due to a sore foot. It was the BEST massage i have ever had. I think the lady was called Anna and she is a credit to shrigley as she was great. Upstairs there is also a relaxation room which was moroccan inspired and really lovely to wait in. We also decided to get lunch over in the main hotel and this was delicious and freshly cooked. Wish i could book again soon!

    WARNING! Youll have to fight for a refund if things dont go to plan.

    You really know what a company is like when things go wrong and how they deal with the issue. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions the hotel had to cancel my New Years Eve package on 23/12/2020. We are now into Feb 2021 and I am still awaiting my refund! They started with very polite fob off letters apologising for the delay, stating that they were waiting for management to authorise the refund. In return I was very polite in response, waiting patiently through these difficult times. However, several fob off emails later they now no longer respond and I am £300 out of pocket. I have been forced to initiate a dispute resolution with my card provider. I can assure you that when this pandemic is at an end I will never stay in this hotel, or any other hotel in this chain!
