Room for improvementBooked during half term as a last minute so only got basic double and our son a basic single. Room (at the top) very small but comfy and roomy double bed. Tiny wardrobe (with only two hangers and no decent space for clothes -also no drawers). Bathroom very old and sink showing signs of age. Water pressure very poor. Very clean and friendly accommodating staff. Breakfast was good. Overall pricey for what you get.

Lovely friendly hotel with great cocktails and foodBooked for a girlie weekend and I was a little bit nervous because of Covid but the hotel was great and felt very safe. Friendly staff, lovely room, fab bar with great atmosphere and cocktails . I am Coeliac and was very pleased with the quality and choice of gluten free food for dinner and breakfast. Great location for the centre of Chichester. Only slight negative was finding the car park and it's pretty small an tight to park in.

A delightful stayWe enjoyed a couple of nights in this elegant and very charming hotel. Our room was comfortable, with everything we needed. Chichester is an extremely elegant city, and most pleasant to visit, and our hotel was the perfect base. Breakfast was excellent, served by extremely pleasant young and friend people. A most agreeable experience.

Check your mattress!I dont normally check the condition of pillows and mattresses during my hotel stays but this recent stay has left me needing to do this for all hotel stays in future. Although the bed linen appeared clean on arrival, I discovered a stain on the bed cover and lifted it to find a badly soiled mattress topper and mattress. I was horrified as clearly something had soiled the mattress from the previous occupant and had seeped through. This unpleasant experience left me with a sleepless night particularly in light of claims of extensive cleaning as part of their COVID 19 policy. If this bothers you, then make sure you do your own sanitising just to be thorough.

Felt thoroughly relaxed after our stayOur stay here was just what we needed after working all through COVID-19. The room was lovely, although there was a very small leak from a room above, but Laura on reception was quick to sort it out. Laura also helped me sort out a surprise for my other half (cocktails on our return - Hannah on the bar makes an excellent martini) as we're were meant to have been getting married that day, and unbeknownst to me another member of staff (apologies I dont know her name) helped organise something for me. The breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner were all delicious and done to perfection in the restaurant, and just the right amount too. The prosecco in particularly was fabulous (wish I had asked the name) as were the cocktails. We both had a massage in the spa, which really helped relaxed us, and booked used of the hydro pool too. The covid precautions that were put in place were great and we always felt safe and secure. We especially liked the hand sanitiser on each table and in our room, great little touch. Lastly, and I have touched on this before, it was the staff that really made this stay special. From the chambermaid to the restaurant and bar staff, via reception, everyone was so polite and helpful, but not only that, they took an interest in what we had done and seemed genuinely interested in our response.
