    Perfect Choice for UpHellyAa

    I spent 4 nights there for Up Helly Aa. The room was comfortable, the location was easy for accessing everything I needed, very convenient to ferry terminal and food store. The staff were polite and accommodating. I really appreciated the complimentary car park. Overall a great choice for Lerwick.

    Lovely but needs some touch ups!

    This hotel is really great in terms of the room quality and service received from staff. However, my only issue is with the exterior appearance of the building and the hallways. All that I needed is a bit of maintenance/gardening on the outside and lightening of the hallway paint /lighting and this would be a great place to stay. The location is a short walk into the town centre and the breakfast was delicious! (much appreciated the adapted vegan breakfast) I felt very well looked after on my business trip during covid. Thank you Shetland, would definitely stay again.

    Came for food

    I came for tea with some friends and thought the food was delicious, I had the pakora to start followed by the pork quesadillas then the chocolate sundae which were all delicious It would however of been good to have more than 4 pakoras on the starter and the sundae could have had more sauce and brownie chunks but overall really good and will be back

    The hotel was lovely, looks dated but wonderful inside and the staff were incredibly helpful. I was up for a fishing trip and the only sour point was watching islanders toot their horns and give obscene gestures to the construction workers near sand water Loch, left a sour taste and not sure Ill be back. But the hotel is highly recommended.

    Good Food but Bad Service

    Food was excellent but the waitress was rude. I waited 25 minutes for drinks and 40 minutes before orders was taken. Its a business trip but I will not be eaten there the rest of the trip. Room are very out of date and I definitely would not pay the price they charge for it.
