Putting Lip Stick On A PigThis stay started bad and got worse. Got to the "Inn" before 6 p.m. No reception area or way to check in. Found out next morning the reception and gift shop was locked shut. First phone # used was sent to a recording. Guest came out of a room and told us they tried for four hours to communicate with office before giving up and booking into another hotel even tho this one already booked. They helped us get into communication with a different # and we got a password to get into our studio # 3. Place has close to zero parking. When I opened the door I found the room was a crackerbox; 8 feet deep, maybe 16 feet long with 7 foot ceiling. The shower had a six foot ceiling. There was no bed, it was a futon. We had to find the sheets and make our own bed. With the futon down there was only a couple of feet on one side to get out of the bed and into the kitchen area.My joints complained all night long because the "mattress was hard as a rock. I tried to use TV and the three remotes took two to work TV. The room is a kitchenette. It is true the beach is very close but sand is hard as rock with lots of sea shells and dead fish. No gulls to eat them. I recommend water shoes. The water was murky and signs warned of sting rays. There are plenty of bars and eating places for sunset dining along the beach. Next day got into it with cleaning lady when she tried to come into our room unannounced. On Trip Advisor it says nothing of a futon for this room. Eventually the manager came and she called the son's owner and we are suppose to get a credit for second day. There are only four units. How this room, # 3, passes inspections I don't know. There are patio tables outside and cats hang around the property.

2.5 -1 BR apt - Room #2We rate this a 2.5. We rented room #2 since I like having the bedroom separate from the TV area. This is a quirky setup. There is a full kitchen as noted. The apartment consisted of a bedroom, kitchen and then 2 halls. One has a futon in it which faces a wall. The bedroom hosts the TV which I wasn't expecting. This apartment also shows its age based on the layout. The ceilings in the bedroom and kitchen were probably 6.5 feet high. My husband is 6'4" tall and to him, it seemed like the Hobbit residence. With the light fixtures, he had to be careful not to hit his head. The bathroom mirror only came up to my chin and I'm 5"10" tall so putting on makeup was a challenge. The hallway with the futon was wasted space and we used it for storage. It was also a dark space with little natural light. There seemed to be someone constantly smoking every time we went outside which was really annoying. This is surprising considering they go through the whole no smoking routine when you check-in. I also didn't care for the numerous cats that were always hanging around. Not sure if they are strays or not but their feed is in the courtyard. Weird. Parking for #2 is very tight. Because of the courtyard fencing, you have 3 feet less width than Apartment #1 to parallel park. Getting our full sized car off the street and onto the cobblestones was an effort each time we came back to the room. It worked out ok until the Chevy 4x4 starting parking in Apt. #1's slot. I had a hard time cutting my wheel due to the extended length of the pickup (you can see it obstructed part of our kitchen window). A full-size truck or large SUV probably could not park in #2's designated spot. The clerk mentioned that the town will ticket you if your wheels are not off the street pavement. Wish they would tell you this before you reserve a room. We would have brought our smaller car. The other 2 rooms had a pull in spot near check-in so it would not be a problem. Close walk to town and restaurants. Open wifi available.

Will never stay againUpon walking in the first thing I noticed was the smell of mold. Then the heat. The portable air conditioners in the unit were set to 74 but the temperature was reading at 83. There was heat coming form the closet and the electrical panel. The bathroom was so dirty we didn't even go in it. There was a giant mold spot on the ceiling above the bed. We left within 30 minutes of entering and found somewhere else to stay.

A roof over my head and nothing moreNot very impressed. Very casual and basic. Crazy cold upon arrival, had to switch off air con. Couldn't fold out the sofa bed and ended up sleeping on top of the sofa itself, which was not that comfortable. Left me with an unclean feeling. Wifi didn't work. The whole place had an outdated feel to it. Won't stay there again. Only good thing is that it's close to the beach.
