  Lovely Stay!

  Me and my boyfriend chose to stay here as it was near to the zip world. We arrived at the hotel and received lovely service, a spacious clean and cosy room and a yummy dinner & breakfast, we visited the nearby waterfall and castle which was recommended by the reception ladies and it made the rest of our weekend with the amazing views. Will be returning!

  Weekend with Friends

  We stayed Fri to Mon to visit Zip World to fulfill a dear friends bucket list .Have to say the hotel could not have been more helpful . In total there were 12 of us but they sorted out dinning space so we could distance as required but still be close. They also managed to give us 7 rooms all on one corridor . The food was good and the rooms were clean and spacious enough . All in all a brilliant weekend .Thank you

  Room nice but basic

  We had a two night stay booked through a buyagift voucher, we found the room itself and the bathroom to a average/nice standard and clean with lovely views. The corridors and walkways had a nursing home feel/smell to them, and the dinner time food was quite bad. I do think we were just unlucky with this though as everyone around us seemed to be happy with theirs, and when questioned, the hotel had no problems in not charging for meals. We had breakfast here twice as this was included in the stay and this was nice, and took service was at no extra charge.

  Close to railway

  Great location - 5/10 minute walk to Village but ideally situated to start a walk up Snowdon or use the railway. Im sure its lost some of its character due to Covid regulations but they are certainly doing their best to keep guest safe. No room servicing during our stay and breakfast times have to be booked in advance. Rooms are simply furnished and have all the amenities you need including tea/coffee. We ate in the restaurant in the conservatory area which was pleasant and another evening in the bar. My only grievance was the lack of atmosphere. The bar felt like a library (no background music) and even the staff seemed flat! I know these times are trying and wearing masks can take the shine of things but a little more enthusiasm would be welcomed and uplifting.

  Ideally located for visiting Snowdon

  If you fancy visiting Snowdonia National Park or Snowdon itself, then The Royal Victoria Hotel is best placed for your base camp. The hotels staff are friendly, the cooked breakfast was hot and the bedroom comfortable. The restaurants menu gives diners plenty of choice and nourishment after a day spent on the mountain, which is accessible either on foot or via the nearby mountain railway.
