    Exceptional

    Extremely friendly staff made our stay a very pleasant one. In particular a very special thanks to Kate who greeted us at check in and hosted us at breakfast. Breakfast was great. We stayed in an executive suite which had a separate living area and balcony. Definitely worth the extra for the additional space. Location was perfect Would highly recommend this hotel.

    Lovely old House

    We have stayed there before it is in a great location. It is on the market at present and we hope it does change hands this time as it could do with a freshen up. The breakfast was a very limited choice but it was cooked lovely but could do with a bit more variety. The bar was closed apparently due to Covid which is unfortunate as it was a great place to have a drink.

    Large comfortable room..

    I paid nearly $200 for the room with b'fast but it was a large ground floor room with a very comfortable bed and we were very grateful for that after some unsatisfactory experiences elsewhere recently at the same price point. The Riversdale is super well situated to the town and its eateries, would certainly stay here again.

    Beautiful room in a lovely historic house

    I stayed at The Riversleigh for one night while passing through Bairnsdale. My room was stunning and spacious, the bed very comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the selections of tea and the Nespresso machine in the room. Staff was lovely in facilitating self check-in process as I arrived late that day. Breakfast was delicious, made fresh to order. I would definitely stay there again!

    Beautiful old hotel & great stay

    We stayed 3 nights here and felt really lucky to have found this gem. Gorgeous old building, rooms in lovely condition and very nicely appointed. Staff were delightful and really accomodating. Breakfast in the downstairs bay-windowed dining room just a lovely way to start the day. Hotel in great location for access to town, river and bike paths. Good storage for our bike. Overall a fabulous stay. Thank you!
