Nice Place to VisitIve stayed at hundreds of hotels over the years (mostly all Marriotts), but this was my first time actually staying at a Ritz. Ive actually been to this particular location many times in the past for events, to dine, hit Entyse Wine Bar, etc, but have never stayed here until this trip. * Check-in Was great! Smooth, quick and very friendly and professional. She explained the hotel, services, parking and everything thoroughly. She acknowledged my Bonvoy status level. * Staff All of the staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and outgoing. * Common Areas Were all nicely cleaned and decorated nice as well. * Bedroom Our room was very comfy! The bed was amazing we didnt want to get up in the morning! The bathroom was clean and perfectly set-up, with even sprayer on the side of the toilet (Bidet??). The towels in the bathroom were plush and comfy. The amenities we great as well. Hot water was instant and the shower pressure was excellent. There were plenty of outlets an USB chargin options in the room. The TV remote was sanitized and in a bag. They provide a couple of free bottles of water, as well as snacks and Fiji water for a cost. * Parking I chose self-parking, since the garage is a very quick walk from the main entrance and its cheap, at only $12/night. * Restaurants They have one bar and one restaurant. Its disappointing that the restaurant is really basic, where it used to be a Jose Andreas place called America Eats and it was really good. But that closed down a couple years ago. They do have a wine bar called Entyse which is actually really nice! Get there early, as they get busy and pack up quickly. This is always a nice place to grab a cocktail, glass of wine, etc. * Overall We really enjoyed this single night staycation and look forward to coming here again!

Quiet Stay in the Virginia SuburbsMy stay was in June 2020, so this review is a bit late. :) But, just wanted to give a shout out to this hotel for providing a sanctuary during the DC turmoil and protests during this time. I'm a DC resident who escaped in order to get a good night's rest and to focus during the day for telework. The front desk gentleman excellently accommodated my request for a high floor in a quiet area. We both laughed at my DC escape. Room service was excellent (I ordered everyday). I received a free meal after they made a small mistake on one of my orders. I felt very safe, secure and taken care of at this hotel for my short stay. Thank you!

Quick StopWe have stayed at this hotel many times while traveling to another destination. The hotel is close to the Highway and is attached to a nice mall. The rates are very reasonable for a Ritz Carlton and if you have a Platinum Amex the amenities make it totally worth it.

Pretty good, with a couple minor rough edges. All in all, the experience was good. Every single staff member I met was friendly, helpful, and courteous. The room was good and well furnished, and prices were more than reasonable for the location and for it being a Ritz. The downstairs bar and grille was decent and dealing well with COVID, even though their selections were a little slim. Everything was clean and well appointed, and the location is just fantastic. Things were quiet at night (sigh, although I did get some marijuana smell seeping in on my last day - but thats a problem everywhere these days) and despite the fact that my neighbors decided to bring screaming kids to a luxury hotel, I didnt hear them all night. Water pressure was good despite being on the 15th floor, room temperature was well controlled. They honored my late checkout as a Bonvoy Titanium - better than experiences I had at high end properties when I was a Hyatt Diamond/Globalist, so Im glad I made the switch. My only complaints: -The parking situation is a little frustrating, as you park in a garage shared with an office building and you need to get tickets validated each time, which you have to take to the front desk and keep with you every time you go in and out. You cant enter on other floors without a room key, so stop in front and check in FIRST to get your key, dont park first. Also, the lobby isnt on the ground floor, so the several sets of elevators can get a bit frustrating. -Theres a good amount of traffic from the mall to the hotel - its directly connected. While thats a plus, when I got back from work Friday, things were CROWDED, and COVID safety was, Id say, so-so. Im not a mask freak, but I would rather not pile into an elevator with 20 strangers. -Their spa facility, downstairs, is not the best. I have posted a separate review for that. Overall a good stay.
