WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCEOctober 4 & 5, 2020. Needed a property that would accept pets. Used "Booking.com" to make reservation. No mention of dog type restrictions nor any mention of additional fees for pets. Arrived to find a list of dogs not allowed. Was also told there would be a 25.00/night fee to have our dog in our room. Understanding this is not an uncommon policy we agreed to continue with our reservation. Fee....with pet deposit and taxes were 196.00/night. When we arrived at the wing of the hotel which allowed pets we found the hallway carpet was quite worn as well as appearing quite dirty. There was an unpleasant odor in the hallway (not pet odor....a stale lingering odor). Noticed at least one of the lights in the hall was flickering, hallway walls were dirty and in need of a fresh coat of paint. The hotel advertises a restaurant but it was not open. There was no advance notification of no restaurant service. When asked about water for our room...they said we could purchase same for 2.15/bottle. Floor beverage machines and ice machines were inoperative (could be due to COVID 19 but no notice to that effect). Our room was a double queen but did not appear as nice as the rooms advertised on the hotel website. There was virtually no counter space in the bathroom for necessities (hair brush, tooth brush, tooth paste, medications, perfumes/after shave, etc. Towels, wash cloths were of a very cheap variety. Shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap containers in the shower were empty. Hair dryer was inoperative. Very nice, large flat screen TV, however; no printed guide for the most common channels. No pen or paper in the room. After the first night we spent the day sightseeing, shopping, etc. When we returned to our room at approximately 5:00pm we found houskeeping had not made the beds, provided fresh towels, coffee for the mini-coffee maker. Upon contacting the front desk I was advised guests who stayed more than one night would NOT have housekeeping services. Upon expressing my displeasure a housekeeper DID come to our room an hour and a half later. Did change the sheets and left fresh towels. Did NOT leave coffee replacements, liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner or vacuum the floors. My wife and I are in our mid 70's. We have stayed in upper class five star hotels such as the Marriott Marquis in New York City, the Fairmont in Dallas. We have also stayed in a Motel 6 and Super 8. Based on our past experiences we would rate the Ridgeline Hotel in Estes Park in the same category as the latter.....just terribly more expensive. We, based on our experience, will not, cannot recommend Ridgeline Hotel to anyone....nor will we ever stay there again.

Unsafe, Unclean, Awful StaffShort version of this review? For the love of God stay anywhere else. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever! To start with. Its 11pm we were in bed going to sleep with TV on and a male staff member just suddenly opened our closed door to let themselves in and when I yelled what the h*ll?! and he saw us, he ran out and knocked on the door saying he was here to pick up food? (We had no food?) This feels VERY unsafe that staff lets themselves into clearly occupied rooms without first knocking. I spoke to the manager on duty who has an accent (not sure of his name) and explained what happened and how unsafe that made us feel as we are two girls staying alone here and instead of listening he kept interrupting and talking over me, not even letting me get 2 words out at a time (mind you I was being very calm and respectful). He was incredibly rude and not at all apologetic. Chose to stay at the Ridgeline specifically because Latitude 105 offered vegan burgers, and as we are vegan we wanted something we could eat where we stayed. Dinner time rolls around and we try to order the vegan burger and the hostess told me they dont have any vegan/vegetarian options anymore due to Covid? (How does Covid effect providing vegetarian/vegan options?). Extremely disappointing that they took away the only option that was inclusive to vegans. The rooms here are very old and not clean. I had to remove someone elses hair from the shower! The AC unit barely works and we cant cool it down any more. They say they have WiFi but its never found/recognized on devices, or it says unable to join - move closer to WiFi. Not the experience the website depicted. The elevator has been out for the whole time weve been here so weve had to take the stairs. They didnt even provide hand soap for us to wash our hands with (new COVID precaution? Make it harder to wash hands?) Ive called the front desk multiple times and left VM to ask for extra towels as the ones they provided were very clearly dirty and had what looks like poop stains!!! The front desk will not answer. The phone in the room doesnt work. Wont be staying here again.

Not Worth The Money - Stay Somewhere ElseMy husband and I stayed here to be close to RMNP. After looking at pictures we decided to spend the extra monies to stay here to be close to the park and they had a restaurant attached that was so amazing (another misconception). We arrived somewhat early in the day to be able to check in. We inquired and were unable to check in. The young lady at the desk recommended a great place for breakfast. Upon returning we checked into the hotel (there was mention in a advertisement) that they gave you a smores "kit" upon check in to be used around the fire pits. Zero smores; I asked about a room with a good view and was told that they did not have views they were more about convenience. Perhaps you shouldn't put beautiful views in your pictures. We open the door to nothing better than a Comfort Inn (which we love) but not at these prices. After taking a shower the next morning the hair dryer quit working. I called the front desk and was told someone would bring me one to use. After no one showed up I called again and was told I was on a "list". Are you kidding? I shared that I had wet hair and also had a time stamp for the park and I needed to go. It was several more minutes before someone finally showed up. Upon check in they didn't bother to acknowledge that I am a DIAMOND member of Choice Hotels. The best part was when I returned home a week plus later I discovered there was ZERO hotel points from this location. I had to call the hotel to complain to get my points added. Don't pay the extra monies and stay somewhere else.

LOVED it!REALLY surprised to see all the horrible reviews! We stayed here 3 nights to enjoy the RMNP and Estes Park and would definitely recommend to anyone. I'm not sure if I got a special room or was just lucky but the room was perfect, clean, linens in new condition, housekeeping brought whatever we needed daily since they are not cleaning during COVID (this is normal nationwide). The best part was finding out upon check inthat the bicycles out front are FREE to use during your stay! The two firepits were awesome to sit at in the evening. Honestly very shocked at the reviews. My only complaint is why would the restaurant only be open a few nights a week and why would the game room be closed during COVID but the pool open? I do recommend it, the pricing is ridiculously cheap compared to most hotels

Fantastic hotel with lots of family activitiesThis was our 1st time stating at the Ridgeline. The staff has been absolutely amazing and BONUS they have a game room with air hockey, pool table, ping pong table, gaming systems and board games. My husband I had the room to ourselves and had a blast. They also have a pool but we didnt use it and the restaurant was closed. The cleaning staff has taken extra steps to sanitize each room, which we really appreciated. Really loved staying here and would highly recommend it.
