  Not The Oriental, but then you get what you pay for...

  The Rich Hotel in Bangkok is a budget hotel on the outskirts of the city. I stayed there as part of a cycle-race package, and as expected (the whole package including a race, all meals and 5 nights accommodation was only US$500!) it was a very basic hotel. But I stayed there for 2 nights and it was clean, the rooms were large,the shower was hot and powerful and the air-con was cold. The free wifi worked well, but there were few or no English-language TV channels. The food served was adequate but nothing more. Its more aimed at local rather than international visitors, but if youre looking for a value hotel around Bangkok you could probably do worse than this.

  Only somewhere to spend your night.

  It is a typical large hotel located at the outskirts of Bangkok. Hotels like this are used from Thais to spend their nights when they have something to do in Bangkok. And this is exactly the only thing that you can do in this hotel... Sleep! There is nothing to do in the area around the hotel, and you have not any opportunities for entertainment inside the hotel. Less than 10 tv channels (most in Thai), and a wifi that occasionally works... So if you have work to do in the area of Nonthaburi come late just to have a shower an a night sleep. Additionally, it is better to take your meal before or with you as your only choices that you will have is the overpriced room service of the hotel or the 7 Eleven shop with its pre-cooked meals. And if you wait for breakfast you will be far more disappointed not even fresh coffee on the table...

  Budget Stay, 7-11 is nearby

  Room is clean but location is quite far from the air-port. It is better to rent a Van. Breakfast is simple and nice. Bangkok is terrible in traffic Jam. if you take a flight at 10 am , be sure to leave the hotel at 6am to 6:30am. if not you will stick in the TJ

  Terrible place

  This is one of the worst place I had to stay in, due to cancelled flight. Carpets stinks and looks it is never cleaned from many years. The spots in room curtains appears as someone has urinated there. Pillow is such a big size that when you wake up next morning then you will have permanent neck shift. Towels were very old. Breakfast is average, no wait staff, no supervisor staff. Appears that food is kept there, if you want to eat you eat otherwise no issue. If you need salt or ketchup, forget it. I will never stay in this dirty place.

  Hotel close to a wedding venue

  Well you cant complain for £20. Double room, en suite and breakfast. The hotel is tired and dated, but appeared clean to us. Fresh white bedding towels and even some toiletries. The pillows are massive though and some of the room decoration is unconventional. Breakfast was uninspired for my tastes, but coffee, toast and some fruit did the trick. The staff were all friendly and helpful. If you need to stay in this area it dose the job. 7-11 under the hotel and good noodle shop end of the road and turn left for 50m.
