  You get what you pay for.

  The Regency Garden Hotel is located within 2 minutes walking distance from the AEON shopping mall, there is also a TESCO nearby. There are many bars and restaurants, convenience stores, and beauty parlors in the area. The price for the rooms starts at 23 US $ (May 2017). Over the weekend the price might be slightly higher. Rooms are very basic, but they are fairly clean. There is TV, aircon and free internet access. It is a decent option for someone who just want to spend a night and is not willing to spend too much. You get what you pay for.

  Acceptable hotel at the price paid

  Hotel situated very near to Aeon Kinta City which is I believe the oldest Aeon Mall in Ipoh. Booked queen bed room on 2nd floor. No elevators provided so those travelling with senior citizens have to book the ground floor rooms to avoid the hassle. They give free burger vouchers which can be used for the burger kiosk in front of the hotel. Overall I did get what I paid for and since I came only for business purposes the size of the room didnt matter to us as we only spend time at the hotel during rest hours.

  Good location

  I had a small room with a queen bed for a single occupancy price. Clean room, comfortable bed and bathroom, friendly staff. What I appreciated about the hotel is its location. As I was coming and going at all times of the day and night, it was reassuring that there was parking within a few metres of the hotel lobby, and the street parking was well lit. I am likely to stay here again.

  Basic value for money

  It's a very basic budget hotel. No frills. The room is big enough to just fit two single beds, made into a one. It's decent. The bathroom is very cramp with standing shower and the toilet is right under the the shower. The towels are smelly though as well as over used. The walls are thin. The air conditioning works well. But for the price, I guess you can't ask for more ;-)

  Good hotel

  Good location, close to one of the top hawkers in Ipoh, close to Lost world of Tambun but a bit far from the centre of town. Average room, no room service unless you leave your card with them, a bit dodgy but your stuff is safe if you have the card.
