  Room for improvement

  Having stayed several times when Phil and Yvonne had the Redlands i was a little disappointed on this visit. The Redlands Has changed hands. No free shuttle to NEC so that was over £10 per day in taxis. Its not walkable due to motorway. The room wasnt serviced the entire weekend. The shower room could do with a good dose of mould remover.

  Would recommend! Good value, friendly service

  We stayed here as we were meant to be going to a gig at the worlds resort. This was changed at the last min but decided to stay with guest house. Whilst the bathroom needed a little tlc, the living area was great & accommodating. The chalet style rooms were quaint & unique. The owners were lovely (they took over the business about 6m previous). The gig was now in bham. They told us the best way to get there (taxi to local t/station then train it to bham). This was the quickest option & saved us ££S!! The breakfast was everything inc yoghurts, fruit & of course the oblig cooked brekky which was lovely. Everything we wanted & a nice sized portion! Lost a few marks for bathroom and wouldve given 4.5 score!

  Very very cold

  I paid £119 for one night stay in a poorly insulated garage conversion. It was a frosty night and it got colder and colder. I awoke to no heating or hot water and boiled the kettle to have a wash. At breakfast I mentioned to the owner that it had been an uncomfortable night. He said that the trip switch had blown again. I do not feel I received value for money. I have written to the owner twice and booking.com but no replies. This has left me no choice but to post a 1 star rating. If the owner reads this.... Please try sleeping in that room with no heating on a cold night. It would help you to understand how unpleasant it was.

  A charming property

  I stayed with the Mrs last month as we were in the area for an event at the NEC. The guesthouse is a bit tricky to find as the signage isn't the clearest, but once we knew we was in the right place we had a warm welcome. The accommodation is small but perfectly formed, and it's got a charming character. The bathroom was a little rough around the edges, but nothing major. Yes, the guesthouse is near the airport, but I wouldn't sound the noise pollution was intrusive. The cooked breakfast was lovely, the property itself is well decorated, and it was well priced, so overall it was a happy stay!

  James blunt stop over

  Found the place ok but would help with a sign down the road so you know you are going the right way room was adequate no frills but everything you needed the hosts are a very lovely couple just starting out with this business I am sure they will make a success with it. breakfast was very good top ingredients all the best Andy & Jo
