  Gorgeous Hotel

  We've just got home from a last minute 'pre-lockdown' mini-break at The Randolph hotel and what a hidden gem! Only a 15-20 minute stroll from the high street in Southwold and a few minutes more to the sandy beach, this hotel was perfect for our mini-break. We were warmly greeted by the lovely Emily who is a credit to the hotel, in fact all the staff we came across were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Our en-suite room was immaculate and spacious, with plenty of coffee/tea/hot chocolate and biscuits. The breakfasts were just fabulous, all made to order. Being a non-meat eater, I enjoyed perfectly cooked poached eggs served with a generous portion of smoked salmon, mushrooms and tomatoes to accompany delicious granary toast and homemade jam. My husband had the "full English" and we didn't need to eat anything until our evening meal! The menu in the restaurant was not too long which is always a good sign, and they also had a separate vegetarian menu which was good to see. There was a good choice of wines, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the service was perfect. We had a lovely time at The Randolph Hotel and recommend it without reservation to anyone visiting Southwold.

  Perfect retreat just before lockdown 2 -Sue Pinder

  We were booked in for three nights but due to lockdown we could only stay one night. The room, service and food were all top notch. We felt very safe and were looked after very well - friendly and homely service. The menu and food were amazing so we couldnt resist going the whole hog and having three delicious courses for our evening meal. Breakfast was equally yummy - top quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Albeit very brief our stay was perfect.

  Nice short break

  This is a very friendly relaxing Hotel ideal for visiting Southwold. Rooms are very clean, excellent food and service. They happily cater for a gluten free diet. Plenty of parking. Ideal for short break

  All came good.

  This was our first visit at the recommendation of our friends who were also staying in Southwold. Despite a mistake with our 3 table booking not being recorded as a reservation on the night Wayne came to our rescue. The chef also created a wonderful meal. It was a bumpy start with the miscommunication for the staff but they certainly did the manager proud. Thank you.

  REALLY NICE WEDDING RECEPTION AND WEDDING NIGHT

  We had our wedding reception in their private room. The food was beautifully presented and tasty, our guests were really happy and the service was marvellous. We had an amazing time despite the obvious covid restrictions. We also spent our wedding night in the hotel and the room was beautiful, really modern and cosy and with a huge bathroom. The check out was done by the manager and he was really nice and happy we had a great time. We are definitely going back when times are better. Thanks for everything :)
