Great B&BWe found this B&B by chance and are so glad that we did. For first world war sites it is very convenient and better than being in central Ypres. There is a lot to do and see within walking distance and lots of potential for safe cycling. Our room was lovely with direct access to the terrace. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and local produce. Ann and Alain, the hosts were very helpful. Alain in particular knows so much about the local area. We had a couple of very interesting evenings chatting over a beer on the terrace. The beds were very comfortable.

Reasonable B & BWe visited the area to locate where a relative had been killed in 1914, on a previous visit we had stayed at Hooge Crater so were familiar with the area. We were met by the proprietors and shown into our room which had its own private access. The room was quite large with a double bed and en-suite toilet and shower. Entry from outside was through a large patio door which provided the only ventilation. The bed was extremely comfortable and in spite of being alongside a busy road there was no traffic noise. The room and dining room were immaculately clean. We would have liked a window that we could have opened for ventilation, especially through the night. The lack of ventilation meant there was always a slight odour from the toilet. The proprietors were friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about local points of interest giving us good advice on which sites to visit. Continental breakfast was adequate, but we found it a little off putting that the proprietors sat and watched us eat breakfast. There are no hot drink facilities in the rooms. We would not return.

Great place to stay with so much on the doorstep. The room was great, nice and light with a lovely shower. The food was lovely, great quality and plenty on offer. The owners are so kind and very knowledgeable about many things, not just WWI. The B&B is in an excellent area for visiting various places, the market square is not too far away, but it is so much quieter here than trying to stay near the market square. Good access to the rooms and they are clean and tidy, so is the dining room area. They also have a relaxing lounge area for chilling out in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble and we had some great chats about various things to do and see locally. A wonderful stay and we are eager to return as soon as we can. Thank you so much for the relaxing and history filled stay, we learnt a great deal about Ypres history as well as the WWI sites, battles etc. Well worth staying here.

Un-comunicative and un-reasonableFor personal reasons had to cancel, Booking.com took full charges for the 4 nights booked. Booking.com did offer to ask B&B to reduce the cancellation fee, this request was almost immediate, hardly time for them to contact the B&B. charging the full fee is un-reasonable, at most it should have been first night fee.
