Brilliant stay alwaysThis is our fourth stay at The Pit Stop while visiting our daughter. We stay because it is immaculately clean and we love all the attention to detail. The diy breakfast suits us, rather than having breakfast made as we only eat a small breakfast anyway. Its great to be able to get a drink when we arrive and a snack. Melvyn kindly opened for our stay for two nights on the 29th December which was very kind but fantastic as we had our usual green Art Deco room and were the only guests. Will be back in a few weeks. If only we could live here!! Melvyn is very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing place to stayI stayed in the double room with ample space and beautifully decorated - the best shower room I have ever used - a golden paradise! Towels were thick and yet so soft (lovely clean fresh smell too). The diner is amazing - fridge and cupboards full of lovely things to eat and facilities for every type of beverage - whilst it is d.i.y. it is a real pleasure to help yourself. I sat with my coffee at the huge breakfast bar and worked on my laptop - I didn't want to leave. Melvyn, host, is so friendly and welcoming you really do feel like a guest in his home. I loved it and cannot recommend it enough. The whole place is absolutely spotlessly clean. Forgot to mentions lots of Morgan cars!!!! Brilliant!

DelightfulI was attending a course nearby and chose this place to stay for two nights. It is a smashing place and the pictures do not do it justice that were on booking.com. The place is immaculate md made to feel so welcome. What I loved about the place was that everything was there without feeling of being constantly watched. I love my own space so this was perfect. The only thing that wasn't great for me is that round about the hotel there is nothing around that is easily reached unless you jump in a taxi to take you there and back. I walked into the next town to grab a few things for lunches for the course and it took me a good 40 minute walk and sometimes there weren't pavements. At bits I didn't feel safe as the traffic was fast. Bear that in mind if you need to take extra for taxis. Room was spotless and the diner was just lovely. I really have no complaints. It was a lovely experience especially with all the amazing Morgans. I think for me being a bit out wss the only downfall. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

A Unique experienceWe have been coming here for the last few years on the way home from Latitude festival and even though it was cancelled due to pandemic we still decided to come to our little bit of luxury and decided to stay for two nights. The hosts are lovely and accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. We werent disappointed as it was up to the usual high standard and there is really nothing negative to say.Breakfast in the self serve diner is a treat as they have thought of everything from juice to gluten free and vegan options so there is something for everyone. This is a great location for travelling into London or visiting Cambridge and touring the beautiful East Anglian countryside. It you are feeling decadent you can hire one of the Morgan cars for a day and drive the country roads. We will be booking our next stay when we get home

Great place to stay. The slightly different concept of having the fantastic Pit-stop diner and (well stocked) kitchen to use (at anytime) rather than sit down and be served works really well, it gives you the freedom to do what you want when you want. As it says on the wall it really is a 24 hour B&B. The standard of everything is top notch as well both in the excellent rooms and the 60s diner which is every bit as good as it looks in the photos. Even if you are not into motoring this is a great place to stay, but if you have any interest in anything petrol driven then it just takes it to another level with something interesting on every wall, and that's without even getting started on Morgan's and the cars downstairs! Melvyn and his family have created the perfect stopover here and you can see how much love, effort and passion has gone into it. If you are reading these reviews to answer a 'shall we' - then quite simply Yes, you should. You will not be disappointed.
