  The place to book

  I stayed here from the 10th till the 14th with a work mate and I have to say the hospitality we received from Maria and rich was second to none, the rooms were extremely clean tidy and fresh the towels and bedding changed daily and the food is delicious, the locals are all very friendly and welcoming, we would both recommend this inn any day of The week :)

  Avoid

  Locals only, no time for anyone else. Appalling customer service. Minimal bar staff who only want to engage with regulars and cant look you in the eye and smile. I assume they do well on the rooms front, as they dont seem to want to build a new client base.

  Run down pub, great rooms and breakfast.

  The pub was run down and in need of renovating however bar staff were very friendly and we had a pleasant few hours in there. The inn in the building next door was completely different. Very nice rooms, tea, coffee and biscuits and even a safe. Very quiet considering it was so close to the main road. The breakfast in the pub the next day was lovely, full English with toast and cereal if you wanted it. Very good coffee. All in all, perfect for a stopover just a shame about the pub.

  Step back to the 90s

  If you fancy a step back in time to the early 90s, and you enjoy a dirty room this is for you! The room was very dated, however also had some interesting features which included: Broken furniture - dust everywhere - cobwebs in the corners - unexplained stains on the skirting boards - stained old carpets - a mouldy bathroom - a rubbish shower with no pressure - no heating controls in the room/ heating that was either on full or off and a door that rattles when other guests enter or exit their rooms. Further more they are happy to break fire regulations and use a door wedge to keep a fire door open! Let's just say I wont ne staying here again.

  A pleasant overnight stay

  We needed some overnight accommodation for an activity we were participating in nearby. We arrived fairly late, having already phoned ahead to say that would be the case, and it was absolutely no issue to have done that. Our rooms were basic and might benefit from a refresh, but were very clean, in keeping with the sort of guest accommodation that's offered. It was quiet and although we didn't need it, there's plenty of hanging and drawer space. My bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. All the usual facilities such as TV and kettle, coffee/tea/milk were provided. Breakfast was included in the dining room within the pub part of the Inn. It was delicious and really well cooked, and there certainly was plenty of it. Our hosts were very amenable. This might not be considered by some to be more than just a basic standard of accommodation, but it definitely met our needs and I'd be very happy to stay there again.
