  Lovely relaxing weekend

  Perfect weekend getaway! The Inn is charming and in a beautiful location. Just a very short walk to the beach, which is nice a private. Love that it is not in a commercial location and surrounded by other local beach houses. And wow the food was outstanding! Only regret is we didn't have more time. We will be back for sure!

  We stayed at the Pelican Inn for 2 nights prior to checking in to our beach house rental. I would do this again with out hesitation. The rooms were clean. It is a beautiful bed and breakfast. Meals were fantastic. It has a private creek dock. Plenty of places to relax....the mini fridges on the porch were stuffed full and probably had stuff in there of guests who were no longer there.. We could find any room for out things so we put a cooler on the porch and that worked out fine.

  Annual week at the beach

  My family and I are regulars at this wonderful bed and breakfast on Pawleys. We love pawleys so much more than the infinitely more crowded Myrtle Beach. The beach is deserted most days. The inn is charming. The food is phenomenal - home cooked southern comfort food. Each day comes with a 830 breakfast and 130 lunch and you really need very little else in terms of meals. It has a private marsh dock for kayaking and crabbing. Hammocks and a common area allow one to mingle with the other guests. My two young kids even love the hospitality. Couldn't ask for a better place at the beach.

  The perfect ocean front inn on a family beach

  The Taylor family: owners and perfect hosts. Breakfast and Lunch are included and are sumptuous five star meals, perfect for the family and the beach. The ocean front is uncrowded, a gem, ideal for any beach lover. Pawleys Island is cherished by generations of families.

  Paradise at the Pelican Inn

  I have been vacationing at the Pelican Inn for a while now, and it gets better every year. After a long drive from Atlanta, I know I'm home when I see the European architecture overlooking the marsh. Old, gigantic oak trees surround the parking lot where a long walkway to the private beach, hammocks over the dunes, and the beautiful staircase to the rooms. Right on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, it has gigantic waves and very nice bobbing. So whether you're a wave bobber, a boogie boarder, a diver, or a rider, there's something there for you at the Pelicans own private beach. Or if you just want to sunbathe, sit under an umbrella, or go up to the beach hammocks, even if you don't want to go swimming, theres still something to do! And after a long couple of relaxing, (still sandy) hours, theres nothing better to do than the outdoor showers. Better yet, if your not a swimmer or a sunbather, theres still the marsh and porch. A little marsh house right on the the river is perfect animal watching for crabs. All sorts of tiny (fiddler) crabs and big (blue) crabs alike are so funny to watch, especially at low tide. A picnic area and hammocks make for a very relaxing time. Sometimes before breakfast and lunch, you just want to chill in the while reading a great book, or make new friends, or catch up with old ones. There is always something to do at the Pelican Inn. So if you love delicious meals, interesting people, relaxing breezes and fun times, then go on down! It
