    Mejor no

Horrible

Good value, clean and centrally located.

Stayed for one night in the Pattern Arms Hotel to be close to the town centre to do some Christmas shopping the next day. I was looking for a budget hotel and the price of the accommodation indicated that the Patten Arms would fit the bill. The hotel is bigger than I thought - it has up to 46 rooms and a bar that was a bit smaller than I expected, along with a good sized dining area where breakfast is served each morning. Check in was straight forward enough and I was given the key to my room (24) a bit of a trek from reception. The room was of a good size but basic although it had a modern flat screen TV on the wall and it was very clean although in need of some modernisation and decoration. The bed was comfortable enough too and I had read that it was possible that announcements from the nearby station could be heard but I didn't hear any. The one disappointment was the wifi - I logged in and it did show up on my phone (not full strength) but it didn't work for me - not even in the bar downstairs. So don't count on it working - it won't. I had a drink in the bar. I had seen quite a few make labourers entering the hotel so it's obviously a reasonably priced place for lads to stay when working away from home. The bar was quiet with a good selection of drinks and food was served - a simple menu with fairly limited choice but there should be something there for most people. Breakfast the next day was served in the dining room - there was plenty of it but the lamps in the self service area didn't seem to keep it all particularly warm. The Patten Arms is convenient for the station - very ! It's also convenient for the town centre. If you shop around, rooms can be purchased at reasonable prices and there is everything you need for a short stay in fairly basic accommodation. If you have delusions of grandeur, pay more and stay somewhere else. There is parking but the entrance to the car park is quite hard to spot and can only be accessed from one side of the road. You can't reserve a space and I thought I read that there was a charge but I wasn't charged. I wondered if spaces were rented to train travellers given the proximity of the hotel to the station. You do have to register your car with reception on the screen there. And the shopping ? I grew up in Warrington and to my surprise, it wasn't bad. There is a sizeable mall and busy town centre which became quieter in the evening.

    Simple, no-frills hotel

I booked a night in this hotel because I was looking for a cheap stay near Bank Quay station and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was nice to exit the train station, cross the road and be at the hotel, and I found the walk into the centre of Warrington could be done in five minutes or so. My single room was not as boxy as I'd expected and seemed clean and well appointed. The bed was comfy and I didn't hear any other guests from my room during the course of my stay. The staff at check-in and check-out were friendly and whilst there's no wow-factor here (except perhaps the hotel's external appearance), I was happy enough stopping here for the one night and wouldn't mind staying again some time.

    Business Training

Arrived promptly to be advised that parking restrictions apply. Be aware of their policy Only 2 cars can park per group. Any additional car cannot park as parking spaces are reserved for residents of the hotel. A fine of £60 for any vehicle parked without permission may be charged. The nearest car park is opposite at £15 per day Prior to booking, I would advise you to seek a venue that provides free parking.

    Improvement easy to apply

This hotel is perfectly positioned right outside the station. The faults can so easily be rectified, a soap dish would be nice instead of just having the soap on the wood. Doors on the wardrobe, biscuits and tea replenished. We didnt need our towels replaced. Breakfast wasnt great but, apparently, we could have requested something different eg. scrambled instead of fried eggs - this wasnt made clear. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
