  Not value for money!!

  We paid a handsome amount to stay here for two nights and it was very basic and not to a standard of cleanliness you would expect!! The bed was very uncomfortable and the shower I think you needed to be seven feet tall as you could not adjust the height of it as it was fixed. The tv was very small and the tea and coffee facilities were not very good as in selection available. However staff were lovely and friendly.

  IT'S FOR SALE !!!

  No wonder it's such a tip. Found out from a friend that this hotel is up for sale with Christie's (Ref: 3847946) for £ 800,000 !!! Suspect the current owners have done nothing to improve the standard of the hotel since it was decided to sell it. My personal view having suffered 2 nights at this horrible place is that they will be lucky to get half that amount and it will probably end up at auction. Stay well clear travelers.

  Very Very disappointed

  Well looking at other reviews we must of stopped at somewhere parallel universe, as our stay was horrible only for two nights but yes the hotel I very run down and needs looking at, but I can put up with that. Unfortunately i don't expect lazy staff and just cant be bothered. Our room wasn't even cleaned from the last people. We got another room which was ok as say very run down. But when I came to eat all I can say it was left overs by what I received. Had honey glazed gammon when it came up it had gravy on thought odd but looked closer can see why my hat would of had more moisture in. We later found out that the chief had walked out. But the next night asked for bar meal thats after I waited 10 or more minutes for the assistant manageress to just look over and serve me. We ordered bar meal well the potatoes where burnt and looked inside and the had vanished. We later found out they should have been thrown away so instead this manageress served them up to us. Very Very disgusted with this place.

  lovely stay

  I recently stayed at the parkbury with my family. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Room was clean and the décor of the boat themed hotel is great. Would recommend this hotel to others and will definitely return again.

  BRILLIANT STAY, lovely hotel dont know why people put it down , we had a great stay! :)

  Best stay and holiday ever! this hotel is incredible and we would highly recommend it to other familys and customers. all staff are lovely. Jade the assistant manger done a wonderful job, as well as the general manager Mark hes doing an incredible job turning the hotel around from what the old manager left it. Bedrooms were spotless , we was in rooms 36/36 , 42, 33 and 6 and they were all standered clean but we got what we paid for. Breakfast was delicious and the kids loves the pancakes :) Amy the waitress who served us was a lovely kind smiling girl. Not to far to walk into sandown to get to the beach and some lovely little shops down in town. Highly recommend parkbury hotel nothing to much to ask to the staff they are always happy to help with a smile.
