  Khmer Long Weekend

  Family run hotel, very clean and tidy. Quiet location, not far from amenities. Breakfast included, selection of local foods, tea and coffee. Small picturesque gardens, with man made stream and bridges and fish and quiet lovely.

  Well maintained oasis in Nang Rong

  As part of a trip to the less visited Buriram province, we hoped we would find a nice enough, affordable place for a night's stay. We wanted to catch up on the phenomenal Khmer ruins of Phanom Rung and Muang Tam, a short drive from Nang Rong and just needed a decent stop for the night. Which is when we came across The Park and some encouraging reviews. The property itself is tucked away and not easy to find on one's own. But then, it's just a short drive away and we got a cab from the bus station. From there on, it was mostly positive an experience at the Park. The lady at the reception spoke very little English but was extremely helpful and friendly. The setting of the place itself is charming with a well manicured garden, complete with a small bridge over a mini brook. As there were almost no other guests around, it was quite peaceful and we had the place to ourselves. Our room was spacious and well appointed, if not luxurious. The bathroom too was big enough and spotlessly clean. We did not have a breakfast thrown into the room rate but were pleasantly surprised to find some tea/coffee and mini breakfast which the staff urged us to have. True, the few employees that were around spoke only Thai but the warmth and courteousness reached out to us. Recommend The Park for anyone passing through or staying in Nang Rong. It is tucked away in a village bylane but is a lovely place, great value for money and high on service.

  Prepare for the Inconvenience

  The Park Nang Rong Resort by its name can be misleading. First it is not a resort that most related to. The location of the bed & breakfast is not easily found even with navigation system. Once there, the 24 rooms of different types of accommodation based on 18 units on two stories building and the rest on ground level. The simple room is spacious however the double bed is too small for two adults to sleep in. The simple B&B is acceptable if you know what one is paying for. The Thai breakfast of congee, park& sticking rice, partongo (a Thai donut), and coffee is good for the local. But at Baht 590 per night, it is cheap.

  Excellent stay

  We had found this resort on tripadvisor. It's difficult to locate. There was a charming girl on reception when we arrived who showed us the two classes of rooms. I really couldn't see the difference between the villa and deluxe apart from a lacing and breakfast thrown in. We chose the cheaper option which was fine. The bed was a little in the firm side but didn't detract from a good nights sleep. It was peaceful and quiet throughout the night. We ate at a restaurant called Home ing which is about five minutes walk away. A great town which has many rewards if you take the time to explore and get under its skin.

  Lovely place, great value

  I've stayed here a few times now and it is certainly my hotel of choice when in this area. Clean, friendly and reasonably priced it includes a good Thai breakfast. Can be a little difficult to find when you don't know the area but ideally located for exploring the restaurants along the lake side in Nangrong and perfect for visiting Panom Rung.
