  A below average Comfort Inn

  As a platinum member in the Choice loyalty program, I stay at a lot of Comfort Inns. I know that the brand's standards in Australia are below those in the USA, but this was a bad experience even with our lower expectations. Our bathroom had a really bad sewerage smell -- that permeated the whole room, even when we closed the door and turned the bathroom fan on. The internet did not work in the room -- it barely worked if I sat on the steps in front of the reception office. We were initially pleased by the free laundry room -- until our clothes came out dirtier than when we put them in the machine! If all this wasn't enough, the general appearance of the property, including the rooms, is old, even by the humble expectations we have for Choice motels in Australia. In other words, I'd stay somewhere else until this property undergoes a thorough renovation -- or demolition.

  So Disappointing!

  After a long drive from Brisbane on Sunday, the first disappointment of our 2 night stay was when we were told the restaurant was "closed until Tuesday morning, but you could just walk or drive somewhere". Apparently we could have pre-ordered a tray breakfast to our room, but was too late by the time we had walked to get dinner. The carpet in our "executive queen" room was filthy, (looked like it had never been cleaned , & our friends room was the same). The bathroom floor was dirty, especially on either side of the door. The shower leaked across the bathroom floor, which obviously made it slippery and dangerous. Hot water took ages to come through, so the choice was either waste water, or cold showers! The AC didn't work properly, which made for 2 very uncomfortable nights sleep. It was nice that the ancient wall fitted hairdryer worked, although the fact that the safety test tag stated it is 17 months PAST it's retest date pretty much sums up the level of importance they give to property maintenance. We will stay elsewhere in future.

  Excellent

  From the friendly welcome and friendly staff to the comfort of the room and the quietness and the breakfast we could not fault this motel. The breakfast choice was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the zucchini fritters One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Good value as we paid the same for a very ordinary room service breakfast

  Digusting dirty rooms. Dont come here if u want a nice room which is clean

  $170 a night for a disgusting dirty room. Felt like we are staying in filth. Wifi keeps dropping out every few minutes. We diddnt have high ecpectations but this proved just disgusting. Will never come near this place again

  A nice hotel.

  The rooms are good and clean and the hotel is close to the town centre andain attractions. The staff and really friendly and helpful and were more than happy to give me recommendations on what to check out while I was in Dubbo. The hotel also offers basic room service and is good value for money.
