  Brief but great stay!

  We only stayed for one night at the One Cat but we could have stayed for longer! We were greeted warmly (by both humans and cats!) and given a good recommendation for dinner as we arrived late. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. We were worried about sharing a bathroom but we didn't need to be as there was never a time we had to wait. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and all home cooked with fresh ingredients and plenty of choice. We had a vegetable omelette with fresh baked breads, coffee and juice. It was delicious!! Pat and Conrad both gave us plenty of tips for our trip up through Vermont that day and where to stop which was really helpful. We also spent some time looking through all their many books and as cat lovers we enjoyed lots of fuss with Piper and Dexter too! An interesting and homely place to stay with great hospitality.   A lovely, quirky place to stay with two wonderful hosts

  The One Cat is a really fun, quirky place to stay. Everywhere you will find bright colours decorating the walls and stacks of books including in the library which guests can use to relax after a long day hiking Wantastiquet Mountain. This all comes from Pat and Conrad who are two lovely people who really looked after us during our stay. They allowed us space to do our own thing and we felt very much at home, but they were also attentive, offering plenty of choice for breakfast and offering tips and help for our trips around town.

  Lovely people,lovely place

  We spent a couple of nights in misty Brattleboro, mooching around the shops and the two misty rivers, staying in the misnamed One Cat - there are two - and would recommend the place. The couple running it are lovely and breakfast a treat. Our room - Brighton - was large and comfortable. Really, the only drawback is the shared bathroom. It is a short walk into town and you may see a large white skunk en route, as we did. Thoroughly recommended.

  Nice B & B

  My wife and I stayed at the One Cat for two nights. Its a great location, walking distance to downtown Brattleboro and comfortable. Conrad and Pat are wonderful Inn keepers. Very helpful with recommendations. Breakfast was over the top.

  Quirky is only the begining.

  This B&B is owned and operated by Dexter (A domestic short hair tabby) and his staff which includes Pat, Conrad and Poppy. All are very knowledgeable about the local places of interest and dining that is available. Note Pat is usually able to translate for those not fluent in cattus felis. They also serve a wonderful breakfast which is agreed upon the evening before based on guest's preferences. Accomodations are limited (2 rooms) but they offer free parking, a small library and a game room. Visits from Dexter and Poppy are directly related to the friendliness of visitors. This is a very eco-freindly establishment, right down to the organic lawn. Nearby are various art studios, craftworks, boiling sheds (during sap season) and a distillery. Advice about things further away (Drummerston Falls) can be obtained at the state tourism infomation whih is near by. For real enjoyment and a memoriable stay BOOK DIRECTLY with THE ONE CAT!
