  Sunday Lunch

  When we saw that the Wisteria was offering Sunday lunches from a varied menu, we decided to treat ourselves. The roast lamb and vegetables were delicious, complete with separately packed mint sauce and gravy, all carefully packed and looking appetising, even in the packaging. As we love in Oakham, it was easy to collect from the car park, where it was delivered to our car, as we'd paid in advance on line. We noticed clear instructions for re-heating, should one live further away.It was a real treat - thank you, Wisteria staff, who are not only highly competent but also bright and cheerful.

  Excellent takeaway Sunday lunch

  We are local so we've never stayed at The Wisteria but we've eaten there before. In the current situation, takeaway meals are the only option and the Sunday roast from the Wisteria was excellent. The food was brilliant - very tender and plentiful roast beef and a good selection of well cooked vegetables. The packaging is recyclable and kept the food hot. Very easy process for ordering and paying, and delivery to the waiting car in the car park. Well done the staff.

  Home from home

  I stayed in one of the newly decorated rooms at the Wisteria which was stunning, great value. Excellent breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and especially during Covid restrictions I was made to feel safe and well the entire stay. Thanks guys.

  Best meal out this year!

  As going out has been more limited than normal this year our family meal seemed to have more importance and the Wisteria didnt disappoint at all. The setting was spotless inviting and warm and the staff incredibly polite helpful and friendly. But the meal ... well the meal was divine! The roast lamb was perfectly cooked, the gammon moist, chicken tasty and we were all shocked to see our smallest eater polish off the cranberry nut roast. Such a wonderfully tasting meal - the best all year! Highly recommended.

  Great find

  We were looking for somewhere to stay while visiting Rutland Water for some running and cycling. We found the Wisteria hotel on trip advisor and werent disappointed at all. The hotel was clean and tidy with helpful, friendly staff who made sure our stay was perfect. The hotel had Covid measures in place with extra cleaning equipment placed in the room incase we wanted to further wipe down some areas. The room was spacious and well decorated. We ate in the attached pub for dinner then breakfast at the hotel and the lady that was serving during breakfast was great. Really friendly and couldnt do enough. Will definitely return.
