    Relaxing one night stay at The Old Vicarage

    When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Meg who showed us around the building and our room, all of the little extra touches in our room made the stay better than we could have expected. Had a fantastic sleep which was made even better by having no light pollution from outside which is what we have back home. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious and the granola was the best I have ever had. Would definitely stay again.

    Incredible stay

    Hard to decide whether to write this because I dont want others to find out how amazing this place is and then I cant get in because its so booked up. Everything was perfect but it was made extra special by Megs warm and genuine welcome. Could chat to her all day. A real home from home, perhaps an aspirational one. The finishing touches everywhere are sublime. The location is great for exploring up and down the coast. Ill spend a week here next time!!

    Fantastic stay (Shepherd's Hut)

    Our Shepherd's hut was perfect, everything we could need, very neat and compact. Beautiful private garden with hammock and fire pit. Meg was super helpful and the welcome basket of goodies was really handy to get us started. Lovely area, good restaurants and beautiful beaches.

    Disappointed

    Having seen wonderful reviews and pictures we decided to book one of the Shephards huts. The hut itself is beautiful in design but it lacks alot of items such as handwash and salt and pepper. Considering the protocols in place for covid and cleaning we were very disappointed to find blood on a pillow case which apparently is professionaly laundered and pubic hair in the bathroom. We wanted to sit outside but the table and chairs were covered in rust and the fire pit was full of water. Surely these things could have been maintained during lockdown? As the location is so remote (it literally is a single dirt track) you have to get in the car to go anywhere it would be good to know perhaps in a welcome email of all the things that are not included prior to arrival. There is no wifi signal so you have to use the main B and B, no tv and even the radio signal is sketchy. My husband did notify Meg that we found blood but he never had a reply. Once you get in the car and drive down some of the narrowest roads known to man there are some beautiful areas to explore and we found it to be extremely dog friendly.

    Can't wait to go back !

    We had a wonderful few days in this beautiful and quiet part of North Pembrokeshire.Although the setting is quite rural with an 'away from it all feeling' your still close enough to enjoy the restaurants of Newport , Cardigan and St Dogmaels , r The setting and quality of the accommodation was simply outstanding. Meg obviously has high expectations which she sets herself whether it be the quality of the rooms or of her breakfasts . In my opinion she not only meets them but surpasses them . We took advantage of the Tapas hamper and had a very pleasant evening with the wine included. For those concerned about the Virus we felt quite safe Meg has established good protocols. A lovely warm welcome .We can't wait to go back !
