  Like most folk recently and having been unable to catch up with friends a lunch date was long overdue. What great service we received here. One of our group booked an outside table in advance and the lovely staff also said they would reserve us a table inside by the windows too in case of poor weather then at least we could have plenty of air circulating around us! The menu was a plentiful choice of healthy summer dishes but what won us over was the entertaining and totally amiable staff (particularly the Maitre D?) who were so efficient yet so friendly too. Nothing was too much trouble. Dishes are nicely presented and so flavoursome....and there are not many ways to get excited about salad but we all agreed that the Chef knew how to make seriously good healthy food! We will most definitely be happy to return. At the moment they do not accept cash so just remember to take your cards with you.

  Oak tree :D

  I went to the oak tree this evening and it was great the waiters/ waitresses were very nice and kind. We got our drinks and we were very happy, ! We got our food and it was delicious I got a burger and fries, . We were very full so we got the bill! Very cheap! We had a chat with the waiter and he was very talkitive and nice.

  Excellent lunch

  Great service from start to finish. Lovely food too - two of us had prawn and crayfish salad as as mains (from starter menu) plus skinny fries as extra - good portion size. Thank you staff member Livvie - so professional and friendly. Would definitely recoomend.

  Lovely place good Covid measures in place

  Stayed 1 night in September weather was lovely so made use of the secluded beer garden. We stayed in the Hornbeam room outside the main hotel was very nice with excellent shower facilities. Evening meal and breakfast very good. All staff friendly, helpful and welcoming.

  Excellent food

  A lovely meal in a very nice restaurant. Service was a little brisk as they were busy but we loved our meals which came reasonably quickly. I had to knock off a point in the score in view of a very poor pint of Black Sheep. No, it wasnt so bad that I should send it back but Im guessing it was bottom of the cask beer. Excellent meal but could do better on the drinks.
