  Great little stay!

  We stayed in the fox den for one night and really enjoyed our stay. We arrived at 2pm and requested our key at the bar within the pub to which we found the member of staff very accommodating and welcoming. The pod is actually bigger than I thought it would be and has everything you need for 1/2 nights away for 2 ppl. After we settled in we made our way to the cotswold distillery, FYI for anyone planning to do the same - the walk is manageable around 30 mins. But it is down a country road that has no pavements so do take cake and try and book within daylight or maybe book a taxi. (The Norman Knight provide a list of taxi numbers within a welcome book) We also booked a table to eat at the Norman Knight for that evening. We sat next to the fire and it was very cosy with a lovely atmosphere. With us both being vegetarians, we were a little disappointed to see there was only 1 option on the main menu. However the chef offered to prepare us something else to which both meals were delicious. Overall, Would recommend staying here along with the distillery and pub itself!

  Stop over on way home

  We stayed here in our motorhome December 23rd 2019 whilst travelling home from Bournemouth to Leicestershire, I called ahead to Ln ake sure there space for our motorhome as part of "Brit stops" as this had electric hook up and water if needed, beautiful gravel drive leading to the rear of the pub with 3 glamping pods and 1 shepards hut along with 1 other building, all situated in a beautiful village setting. We changed then went into the pub unfortunately they had no food on at this time, there was a healthy selection of draft beers, lagers and ciders and of course wines too, lots of locals at the bar, we had a couple of drinks then returned to our motorhome for the evening. We had a great night's sleep then drove home in the morning. I would definitely return here lovley setting excellent staff.

  Wonderful visit in a Post Covid world !!

  We were camping locally and had been to the Norman Knight for drinks only a couple of times - before having Sunday lunch there yesterday. All the precautions regarding Covid are simple but well executed and we felt safe on each occasion. Lunch yesterday was simply excellent !! The food itself was fantastic with none of the 4 of us having anything but great comments to say about our choices. Service was carried out with a smile with all members of staff having time for each customer, despite the extra pressure of having table service only. All in all a fabulous experience and we very much look forward to returning one day !

  Perfect!

  Absolutely loved it here, we happened to turn up in a heat wave and having driven 2 hours with broken air con in the car it was a huge relief to find the air con in the pod! We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff (I think she was the cleaner) who clearly does an amazing job - the pod was spotless - literally like new but I think theyre a couple of years old. Not a scuff or speck of dirt anywhere! Superbly located in a pretty village with everything we chose to do within 30 minutes drive. The pub looked lovely - we didnt eat there just because we had plans with local family but on our second evening our plans were cancelled and although they were fully booked the owners offered to get us in early to make sure we could eat (we didnt manage to get back in time, but were still very impressed that they offered as theyre clearly very very busy). We can definitely highly recommend this accommodation. Clean, peaceful and with welcoming and friendly staff, we didnt want to leave and hope to come back again!

  Great bar and restaurant

  We came across this after a long walk and keen for a pint and sit down. Very organised and clear signage. Great friendly service and top notch pint. We returned a couple of nights later and it was exact the same. Very popular for food, although we didnt each picturesque lawn overlooking the village green
