Family DinnerFabulous dinner last night for 6 adults & 7 children while down on holiday. Food was delicious, fresh ingredients, reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you are in the area, super friendly staff, nothing too much trouble.

Vibrant pub & restaurantA week day visit to this place , was a pleasant one. Food & service very good. Staff friendly, nice looking premises & garden. Recommend sirloin steak & summer fruits pavlova . Not too extensive menu, but all tastes catered for.

Lovely comfortable week with my husbandWe stayed in one of the self catered apartments - big double bedroom, lounge, kitchen and dinning room area and a large bathroom with a great shower. Really comfortable and beautifully set up. All you need to self cater really comfortably with the added benefit of the fantastic pub right next door for food and drinks

Place to get away from it allLike a lot of people we wanted to get away from the 'new' normal and go somewhere in the UK we had not visited before. So choosing Somerset we looked for somewhere where there was a small self catering cottage, that took dogs, had parking and was near a pub (who wants to cook when on holiday) Et Voila we came across the Natterjack Inn in Evercreech just outside Shepton Mallet. Although there was a little glitch when we arrived have to say that the hosts Adrian and Kate were extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage itself is part of a converted barn with one other self catering. An adjoining barn provides B&B rooms. So a little community and busy when we were there. The cottage is well equipped and just the right size for a couple and a dog. The bedroom area actually has a large double and two singles so you could squeeze in two kids but it would be a bit of a squeeze (maybe ok for one night if passing through). The pub itself is really nice, good beer and wine and well decorated with a nice outside garden. All the normal covid stuff taken care of. We ate there twice and the food was very good. Only thing I would point out is that the Inn is on quite a busy road so for light sleepers it might be a bit noisy when traffic builds up early morning. The counter to this is that it makes it very easy to get around. Overall I rate this as excellent

Amazing Sunday lunchWe havent been here since before lockdown in February but everything was just as good this time. The landlord is really friendly which sets the tone for a really relaxing experience. The roast lunch is fantastic and they know how to roast potatoes, which sadly lots of people dont. The meat was tender and totally delicious. The dessert menu was interesting but we were too full to try it out. We will certainly come again next time we are visiting our family in Shepton Mallet.
