Great hotelTha hotel is two in one with Moon Beach and Moon Beach Palace - the amenities are all the same - some pool photos are not showing the infinity pool that overlooks the private beach with a safe sea swim area - the great things are - pools beach staff social areas beautiful gardens - food is not cheap but we walked out to the numerous and varied restaurants 5 mins away - we also had facilities in the room if we wanted breakfast there which worked really well given the jet lag - it is well placed away from Naha and you can do many beach activities on this private beach - snorkelling and diving are also 10mins away so no long transfers for activities - There is a bar for a quiet drink with a singer In the evening and so much for children to do. The room is a little older but it is spacious which is good. The weather has been awesome and the Japanese are so wonderful, fun and well mannered it adds to the pleasure of staying here.

LOVELY STAYWe stayed at this hotel on our tour in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka) and it was really very pleasant stay. Hotel is nice with lots of green plants inside. Clean beach. Our room was very spacious with beautiful view. Food was more than excellent. I definitely recommend this great hotel.

Weird rulesSo, the hotel is practically empty, there is nobody to be seen. All tables are empty and, yet, as soon as I seat down to get some work done, I am asked to either order a coffee or leave the nice table and seats. I guess it's normal in Japan to follow the rules to an extreme, but you would imagine more courtesy.

Exactly what we needed...During our visit to Japan, right in the middle of our trip we scheduled some "downtime". Check in was very easy, and the service was amazing. Even though we didn't ask for it, they sent someone with our luggage to our room so we could have dinner (later arrival) as the buffet was almost closing. After travelling all day we were exhausted and hungry. This little touch went a long way with us. Our room was spacious and clean with comfy beds. We had a kitchenette which proved to be super helpful when you have a toddler! We picked up some groceries at the corner store and cooked small meals when needed. Mainly breakfast and sometimes dinner. The pool overlooking the beach was amazing...and the option to go to the "indoor" pool was nice when we needed a break from the sun. My toddler son loved this pool. Super fun life guard! The beach was kept clean, and the water was shallow entry (perfect for toddlers/small children). We thought it was great that they had a small table for beach toys to use! There were water sports but we didn't use it, not sure what the cost is. I know there was a charge to use beach chairs/palapas. Lots of greenery, immaculate grounds, friendly service. They had a luau while we were there, which was fun to watch. Good restaurants onsite, and just outside the hotel grounds, don't forget to get some ice cream! They do have onsite laundry for a minimal cost, a store that sells gifts, t-shirts, food, snacks, drinks, and other essentials. One thing to note: Tattoos in some parts of Japan are still taboo. This was the only area of Japan (and we visited Tokyo, Hachinohe, Hokkaido as well...) where my husband was asked (politely though) to cover up his tattoos (he has a full arm sleeve tattoo). We were prepared for this so it wasn't an issue but we did meet one couple who found this very offensive. Overall, we came here to relax, unwind and soak up the sun and recharge. We would definitely come back here again!
