Rude OwnerFirst off, we booked on a third-party site, which this place isnt forced to promote on, so they should lose the attitude. When we called to confirm that the reservation went through, the owner said, ...If you would have called directly, you would have known it was confirmed, and saved me some money. When we checked in, we were greeted by one of the employees, who was very nice and showed us around. When we went to check out today, I went to the desk and I said, We are checking out. The owner didnt even look at me, but said, Just leave the keys there. in a condescending and abrupt manner. Not a thank you, hope you enjoyed your stay, or come again, etc. Nothing. The man is in the WRONG business. Especially in Provincetown, where there are a lot of other B&Bs with welcoming and pleasant hosts. Its the beginning of the season, I can only imagine how miserable he will be by Labor Day. In regards to the room- it was ok. Room did not have AC as advertised, which Im sure will be the fault of the third party incorrectly listing..... Breakfast was the usual, coffee, breads, yogurts, etc. Overall value was ok, but the rudeness negated everything. Will not be going back, and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful inn. Great location. We'll go back!Spent a long weekend at this wonderful guest house just off the main shopping area of Provincetown, Commercial Street. We stayed in one of the King Fireplace Suites (not that we needed the fireplace) and the room was HUGE, comfortable and very well equipped. Combination bedroom/living room is large and comfortable. Has a little 'alcove' with a small dining table, microwave, fridge and Keurig (very convenient). Wonderful rooftop deck is a nice place to relax. There is a hot tub as well (we didn't try that out, but its there). Its a 90 sec walk to all the shopping and restaraunts which is close to everything but enough off the street so that its super quiet at night. Perfect location. Highly recommend it! We'll certainly be back.

A Haven for Relaxation among the FoliageI was highly impressed by the Beaconlight. First, the place is immaculate with three decks among the beautifully landscaped variety of flowered plants, trees, and shrubbery providing plenty of shade for those who want it. I sat out on the ground level deck each morning with an aromatically delicious coffee and a continental breakfast with high shelf muesli, fruits, cold cuts and cheeses for the toasted English muffins, pastries, juices, and cereals. I've not had better for a continental breakfast. I used the second deck in the afternoons to read and enjoy a glass of wine. Second, after a day of touring the streets and shopping, the hot tub which is located among the greenery on the lower deck is perfect for relaxation or to rejuvenate before a night out or in the mornings to energize. The rooms are comfortable with firm mattresses and pillows to assure a great night's sleep. Mine was cleaned promptly while I was having breakfast. The proprietors, Keith and Mark, do a very nice job keeping the place welcoming, clean, and friendly. Keith is regularly cleaning, sweeping, and pruning. Kim and Christopher prepared the coffee and breakfast each morning, both friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again? Definitely!

Beaconlight guest house reviewI would have given this bed and breakfast place a 5 stars. The place is excellently located near all the shops and dining place in Commercial street. The inn is a beautiful Victorian style and our suite was excellently lovely and fully furnished. There are three porches on the first ,second floor and top floor where you can view the lovely harbor and dwellings in Provincetown and eat their included more than continental breakfast However the owners Keith and Mark are very into themselves and make you feel unwelcome. Keith seems to have no time talking to you when you check in. He is always running around the inn, picking up fallen petals on the floor, watering the lovely flowering plants, unable to look you in the eye or answer your inquiries adequately. He got an obsessive compulsive personality. Mark on the other hand is very introverted and spends his time on computer once in a while ,looking up to answer briefly your questions. The kitchen staff, Kim and Chris more than made up for their seemingly indifferent attitudes. They have been informative and welcoming during our whole stay. Paul Cruz,MD.. Stayed in Beacon light guest house , August 1 to 4 2019

Get awayComing back home after 16 years of not being there was really awesome- We decided to stay at this guest house since I was familiar with the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful- specially Christopher - he made our morning breakfast in the kitchen lots of fun. The room was ok and the people making the rooms took good care of us. We will go back to the guesthouse again- We hope the same staff is there.
