  Great guest house

  Stayed here for 1 night on midweek break, made to feel very welco me, very clean room and excellent bathroom and very comfy bed..took my dog and we were only 5 mins walk to dog friendly beach, next morning great breakfast and a good old chin wag with owner to start the day. Highly recommended hope to see you again soon.

  Brilliant

  We stayed here with our labrador for 4 nights as a recharge after lockdown. The house is immaculate, the host, Alison is very friendly and down to earth, Mark is friendly and passionate about Ale and loves nothing more than sharing a beer and a story with his guests. The breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for Alison. Myself and my wife highly recommend this guest house.

  Outstanding

  Stayed here for 3 nights in july. Alison could not do enough for us. The rooms were spotless and large. Breakfast choice very impressive and set us up for the day. We have stayed on scarborough many times The Melthan is up there with the best. Thanks again Alison we will be back

  Perfection.

  I had a 3 night stay here last week and just couldn't believe the size and quality of the bedroom and en suite. I have stayed in Scarborough on numerous occasions and this guest house tops all of the ones I've stayed in. It's only a ten to fifteen minute stroll into town and a further few minutes to the front from the town centre. Alison was an excellent host and there wasn't any problem with parking. I would recommend this guest house to anyone and have already done so to all my friends. I intend returning as soon as I can.

  Weekend Break

  Just had a fantastic weekend away in Scarborough, where I stayed in the 4 star Meltham Guest House. Alison welcomed me with cheer and friendliness and showed me to a stunning king-size ensuite. She provided all the information you would expect on arrival and even offered to provide me with a verbal tour of Scarborough, but I didn't need this as it is my third home (my second being Scotland). The room was comfortable, warm and had all the features you would expect (including hot chocolate). Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, enough to set you up for a good day's walk. Situated in the stunning North Bay area, the Guest House is close to the award winning North Bay Fisheries, Peasholm Park and transport to town if required. An excellent place to stay and I will definitely be back.
