  great view of the Atlantic Ocean

  The studio unit looked like it had been recently updated, which was lovely. I enjoyed having a balcony overlooking the ocean. I really enjoyed the heated pool. Unfortunately, the hot tub was undergoing renovations, so I missed that aspect. I wish that I was able to open a screen to let in the fresh ocean air. The unit seemed very modern with clean glass and clean lines.

  Perfect Getaway

  Clean rooms, pleasant staff, easy parking, and the most fabulous view! The WIF worked well and was included in the overall fee. There were plenty of eating establishments that were walkable or easily driven to.

  Great view and nicely updated studio

  We stayed in a studio which was the smaller of the studio types and loved the way it was set up. The unit had new vinyl plank flooring and a new sofa and upholstered base on the bed. The table with 3 chairs was showing its age due to rust which comes with the oceanfront location. The bedroom area was oceanfront with a wall of windows overlooking the beach and a door going out to the balcony. We would open the blacked out door with a bungee cord so we had the full view and could hear the waves from inside our unit. It was separated from the living room/kitchen portion by a barn door and shutters that could be closed off if privacy was needed. We were in unit 616 and had a great view of the ocean. We used the stairs and this unit was at the top of the stairs on the 6th floor out of 7 floors. We could hear our neighbors some on both sides, but it wasn't too bothersome. If we opened the door the waves would drown out any noise. It was no big deal but we did have to remake the bed since the top sheet was put on sideways and wouldn't come up very far to cover the comforter but hung down too far on both sides.The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The minimal kitchen had a 2 burner built in stovetop, a full size fridge and a microwave. There was a coffee maker and toaster but no blender. There was limited counter space for cooking but we made it work and cooked nearly all of our meals in the unit. Bathroom was pretty standard with a tub/shower combo and single sink with a nice vanity. When we booked through RCI, it showed that construction would be completed by 1/31 but that was not the case. Construction will probably continue through the summer is what we were told. This meant that there was no hot tub and construction noise while in the unit during the day. It also meant the pool area was a bit of a mess. We still went out and enjoyed sitting by the pool overlooking the beach, but it definitely was not a beautiful pool area with this going on. Also the chairs were comfortable but looked like they needed to be replaced or pressure washed and cleaned very well.

  A week of Solitude on the Ocean

  This is my second stay at the Maverick within the last couple of months as I love the solitude and view and sound of the ocean. I tried to stay in my room as much as possible while there and only ventured out for long walks and short rides on my motorcycle. The suites are small and accommodating and you will thoroughly enjoy the sunrise in the morning the the sound of the waves 24/7. Very soothing for me. If you want to relax and catch up on your reading or writing, this is the place to be.

  Great time!

  The resort is on the beach and the view every morning is amazing! The staff are super people and always took care of any questions or concerns. I'd stay here again! It is an older resort but all the furnishings were very comfortable.
