Mallaig hotelMy brother & I were given a very warm welcome at this comfortable centrally located hotel. Nice breakfast included, very friendly and helpful staff and just a step away from the town centre and restaurants and the train station vertually next door. Big thanks Mallaig

Perfect location, clean and comfortableVery modern refurbishment. Comfortable room and bed. Nice breakfast and open to customisation to the full Scottish breakfast e.g replacing black pudding with extra bacon or eggs. We were in room 17, 2 flights up but easy climb with hallways to walk along before the next staircase. 17 had a view over the railway station and across to Skye...beautiful. Not much train noise as not many trains run over the weekend. There is a lounge bar in the hotel, but it was closed while we were there. Bathroom toiletries provided. Heated towel rail. Shaver point good for electric toothbrush charger. Plenty of storage for clothes. Great location for the station, 30 seconds walk round the corner. Co-op across the road, open till late. Cash machine next door. Lots of places to eat very close by. Whats not to like. Wed stay here again. Downsides - Paper thin walls unfortunately, so could hear whatever was going on next door. Still, mostly quiet. One thing I noticed was the shower water temperature fluctuated to a point where the water became scalding hot...be careful. Avoid the Marine Bar next door. A bit rough for our liking.

Clean! And friendlyI've stayed everywhere from rough hostels in Uganda to 5 star hotels in Dubai. I can 100% confidently say that the Marine is the cleanest Hotel I ever stayed in. Not a sign of a hair or dirt anywhere, this goes for everything from reception area to rooms and breakfast lounge. Fantastic friendly staff and well cooked breakfast Thank you!

FantasticOnly stayed one night but will definitely be going back! Spotlessly clean and comfortable, can't fault it. Young man booking us in even moved his car so we could park!! Breakfast was good, wide choice, and very filling. Cannot praise them enough, just wish we'd been staying longer.

Short break in a favourite placeMy wife and I decided on a short break to one of our favourite places, Mallaig. We booked into the Marine Hotel on a B&B basis. The Hotel was absolutely spotlessly clean and the room we had was very comfortable and a good size with views to the station and across to the Samll Isles. Breakfast was excellent witha good choice. The Covid-19 policies were first class with hand sanitiser etc avsailable throughout. Breakfast was ordered the day before and was served at a time picked by yourself. The young chap on reception was welcoming and very pleasant, with nothing being an issue for him. Private parking was available in fron of the Hotel. The only slight downside which was due to the current situation, was that there was no Bar facilities, howvere there are othe bars in Mallaig.
