  Highly recommended!

  We stayed in a Deluxe Room at The Loft Room for 3D2N. The hotel is centrally located at the lively Nimman Soi 13, which houses all those cute cafes and concept stores. The room is very spacious and has all the basic things you need. Breakfast choices may be limited but its good and filling. Special mention to all the accommodating staff of The Loft Room. Your help and hospitality made our stay extra special!

  Guest House Rooms it's not a Hotel

  Good location, room is dark, without any real views. Nicely decorated stairways, which you must walk up everyday to get to your room. Upto 4 levels, first walking past a very casual guest house style reception entrance. The hotel has no breakfast, well sort of, I got a slice of bread and some instant coffee with powdered coffee creamer and sugar. Really its a 3 star guest house with no elevator. Certainly not a hotel with a normal reception. When you come back at night you need to put in a pin number to enter the Loft Room entrance, which is just narrow hallway, leading to a seated area for the one staff who does 'reception'. Many better options in this area. The Loft Room is very overpriced for a guest house. I've stayed at many hotels in Chiang Mai costing the same or much less with far better facilities. If you stay at The Loft Room for more 1000thb per night you're really paying too much. People are friendly here. Location is good. Free daily snacks and drink provided in the fridge. No parking area, except if you find a spot on the street.

  Disappointed by this guesthouse (not a hotel)

  We spent 2 nights at the Loft Room that we choose because of the good rating on Tripadvisor. What a disappointment. This is not a hotel but more a guesthouse. The location is not the best even if there are lots of restaurant. The road is quite dark at night and not very convenient. There are 3 persons in charge: a lady, really nice, the only one who speaks english and very helpful; a young man who works at night and another man who is in charge of the breakfast (who never speaks, not the nicest one...). We had a deluxe room: no elevator, on the 2nd floor. It was very spacious but what we did not like was the fact that when we switched on the light in the bathroom, people can see in it from the hallway... As I said, in my opinion, this is not a hotel at all. The cleaning is on demand everyday. It means that if you don't ask for it, the room will not be cleaned, beds will not be done, towels will not be changed and bottles of water will not be given. For the price we paid, we were really disappointed. They could at least automatically give us bottles of water everyday. Breakfast was OK even though the man in charge was not super friendly (the one who did not speak). We asked twice (when we booked our room and when we checked in) if they had a vegetarian option. they said yes but we never had it... We will not choose the Loft Room again (very expensive and no (minimum) service).

  It's a 3 star ...

  I do like the hotel location, being so close to many eateries and main roads. The beds, at least in the room I was in, had two platform mattresses, pillows were way too soft. A/C did work very well. There was a rolled up soft tissue, still somewhat damp at the edge of the bed during check in. Unsure what that was about. Bathroom is ... well lacked good hot water and the vertical bar for the shower head did not work. Overall a decent place, fits the boutique guestroom model. Will try a second time later in 2018, to give it a second chance.

  Great value, great location

  We stayed in a superior deluxe room for four nights. The room was spacious, clean and had everything that youd need for a short stay, from toiletries to a fridge with free snacks and water daily. The hotel is well appointed, in the middle of Nimman and in easy walking distance to numerous shops, cafes and restaurants catering for every taste. The only thing we found odd about the room was that there was no window. We didnt spend too much time in the room, but it seemed strange that the wardrobe had been built covering the window... there was plenty of other space it could have been. The breakfast, which is included I the price, is also great and you can order as much or as little as you like. This is a three star hotel in a good location which offers amazing value. Some of the negative comments dont seem to take that into account. Id have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to budget to mid-range travellers.
