  Very nice classic old lodge

  Lodge is old built of logs in very good condition. Our room #3 featured a very comfortable king bed, a sitting area with fireplace and a very large modern bathroom, along with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Exceptionally clean. Very quiet. Nice deck area overlooking the lake. Fridge in room. In October there was no food service from noon Sunday through Tuesday evening but they put out muffins, coffee and snacks. Very nice place to stay.

  Serenity Now

  We went this past weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. It is a secluded, rustic, mountain lodge nestled in the NC mountains. Lake Lure lies at its feet and sparkles silently. The mountains are ablaze with color, this time of the year. We stayed in the 'Golden Pond." It has a lovely veranda, a crackling fireplace, comfortable bed and renovated bathroom. The gem of the bathroom is the clawfoot tub, that overlooks the lake through large picture windows. We had brunch at the Treetops Restaurant. Chef and Owner Yvonne was so warm, friendly and accommodating. Her food was outstanding! Lynne, Sharon were at the Front Desk. Very welcoming. We had the most lovely time. If you are looking for silence and serenity, look no further.

  Jewel on the Lake

  It had been several years since we stayed at The Lodge so we decided to revisit. It is a wonderful location surrounded by the lake and our room was perfect with a nice sitting area, balcony view of the lake, and a nice King bed. What we really missed was the hot breakfast that was served years ago and the afternoon gathering of guests with popcorn and wine!

  A very pleasant experience

  Looking for a new place to celebrate my husbands birthday I followed a friends recommendation and booked at the lodge. although it was Saturday night they were not busy. I understand they have a Great Lake view which wasnt available this time of year. We knew we could bring our own wine for a reasonable corkage fee. Three of us ordered the grilled Caesar salad large enough to split and it was excellent. One party tried the soup which was also pronounced excellent, two of us had the pork tenderloin which was simple but perfectly cooked and the veggies were above average. My husband had the lasagna which he enjoyed and our other diner has the meatloaf special which had good flavor but was a little dry. All was very reasonably priced and we will go back after the time change to enjoy the view,

  Lovely Lodge on Lake Lure

  Visited Lake Lure on personal vacation for my first time together with my girlfriend. I would HIGHLY recommend the Lodge at Lake Lure. The Lodge at Lake Lure was the absolute best place to experience this scenic area. Even though at the time of this review, it was during Covid, the overall experience was superb. The lodge staff was great from booking-to-departure. The welcome upon arrival was hospitable, friendly and personable. The staff were very responsive to any questions or requests. The Lodge grounds were manicured, clean and well maintained. The scenic view of Lake Lure is best experienced from one of their Lakeview rooms. If not, there is a beautiful outside deck with ample space for sitting and viewing the picturesque landscape. Grab a drink and take in the views. The rooms are outstanding. Great use of space. We stayed in the "Roman-room". Huge bed. Mini-fridge, balcony deck for viewing the stars at night and huge bathroom w/ panoramic views. The daily hot breakfast and coffee was an included, unexpected treat. More than a continental fare, served by attentive and friendly staff. Everything is available within < 10-minutes drive to Chimney Rock, Restaurants, downtown, grocery store, golf, hiking and more. The Lodge at Lake Lure is the perfect spot for individuals, couples or families. It's great retreat and place for small group events, parties and get-togethers. I look forward to my return to the area and staying at The Lodge at Lake Lure.
