  Very nice cottages on the lake

  We desperately needed a COVID break, so we drove up here and stayed for two nights. The location is excellent, right on the lake and a short distance from Ohio wine country. The cottage was fairly new and very nicely appointed. The fireplace was a very nice touch. There was an outdoor fire pit in the common area which was also nice. Breakfast was top quality and it was no problem to order up a nice takeout dinner which we enjoyed in the cottage. We plan to come back in the summer when, hopefully, more local attractions will be open.

  One Night Stay

  This is our 3rd or 4th time staying here. Accommodations are great - clean and spacious room. Great location if you are visiting the wineries. We previously stayed at a few bed and breakfast's, but have decided this is a safer way to travel right now. We may never to back to a bed and breakfast.

  Dont go in the Winter!

  The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Pool closed early due to COVID..okay that we understand but went to eat dinner at the restaurant at 6pm. And it was closed up tight. Supposed to be open from 4-8pm for dinner. Tried to go elsewhere but it was like a ghost town! It felt abandoned and almost creepy. Thanks to the night attendant Vickie!!!!! So friendly and accommodating! She gave us a voucher for some breakfast. Hopefully they will be open. Apparently this is ONLY a summer place.

  Great Winter Fun

  We just spent two nights at the cottage during the Presidents Day extended weekend and had a great time there. It was amazing to see the frozen lake, explore the trails by snowshoeing and cross country ski around the state park. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The staff at the lodge were very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in before 4pm. They have free XC equipment and snowshoes to lodge guests, which is super convenient. After the snow storm, they cleaned the parking lot and pathway to our cottage quickly and professionally l. Definite would come back next time.

  Not worth the price at all

  I was here for work and out of four days I had hot water one time. I called the desk and they said too many people had took showers. This was ridiculous since they are use to housing a large amount of guest. Door dash drivers are not allowed to bring food to your room due to security reasons is what I was told. So instead hotel guest have to walk to the front desk. However, no one else is checked when coming in, so anyone other than doordash can have access to the hotel without questions. I curious how this is a security measure. Overall this place isnt worth the money. The staff is great and the hotel is clean but dont expect to be catered to in any way including hot showers!
