  Perfect

  Stayed here for 2 nights in the barn and everything from start to finish was spot on. Couldnt fault a thing and we are considering going back in the summer months for another stay. Staff very friendly and helpful, the pub and barn had a lovely cosy relaxing vibe and everywhere was spotless. Covid adhered to and felt very safe throughout. Evening meal and breakfast both delicious. Would definitely recommend.

  Slice of heaven

  Weve stayed at Listers quite a few times over the years and were so looking forward to being able to visit once again this year. I was slightly nervous as to how it would be with all the new restrictions but there was no need to worry at all. It is still so warm, welcoming and relaxing while at the same time making you feel Covid safe. Check in was super organised and the room was immaculate. We had drinks outside, ordered by an exceptional QR system (actually prefer this to queuing at the bar :) ). Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic! The food and service were excellent as was breakfast and lunch the next day. As always the staff were really lovely, helpful and friendly. Thank you for a little slice of heaven - We will hopefully be back again before the end of the year

  Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, amazing pies!

  We hadnt booked but were welcomed and seated in a really nice extension to the original building. The service was friendly and quick too! We ordered the steak pies and they did not disappoint! They were delicious, as well as the chips and mushy peas. A lovely hot chocolate as well which was much needed after a cold walk. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay over too!

  Friendly, welcoming and high quality

  I took a 3 day walking break in November, and the Listers had been recommended by a friend who had done something similar in September - he'd been somewhere else but wished he'd stayed here! Clean, quiet and high quality rooms, a great choice of beer and an extensive menu (the steak and ale pie was fabulous, as was the ploughman's sandwich at lunchtime). Most importantly, all of the staff and the managers make you feel like one of the family. The area is fabulous, with more to see and more walks than I could get around in 3 days, so a return trip next year will definitely follow.

  Overpriced and unwelcoming but tasty all the same

  I visited with my housemates and we sat outside in the beer garden to avoid being indoors due to Covid. We ordered sandwiches which were £8.50 each with no sides (£3.70 for a bowl of chips) which were tasty but tiny portions; two fish fingers on the small sandwich which could have been double the size given the price. Staff werent overly friendly or welcoming, googled our postcode to see which Tier we live in, gave us three sachets of ketchup between five sandwiches, but the location was great and the outdoor seating was nice with a patio heater. Would return for drinks in summer post-lockdown as they are dog friendly but not recommend ordering food
